Congrats carldamnit the o ring is 1 mm thick you can go to a local hardware store and buy a o ring that is a little thicker or grab one on line . I would try a 1.2 mm o ring .
Part of it depends on how big the mold is that you wrap it around - bigger diameter = more wire = more resistance. The one I wrapped yesterday was on a 1.4mm screwdriver shaft - 8 wraps of 30 gauge gave me 1.3Ω. Tonight I wrapped another one that was 8 wraps of 30 gauge, but on a larger form (a screwdriver shaft that was about 1.8mm) - came out to 1.9Ω. If you were to try 8 wraps of 30 ga. on the shaft of a 1/16" drill bit, you'd probably be right in the ballpark of where you want to be.
(Note: I'm a rookie at this and not claiming any expertise - this is just what has worked for me so far.)
I got it saved now. I was using it earlier to make a "educated guess" about how many wraps I would need. Then sadly my eyesight decided not to cooperate and I still missed my target. lol But that thread sure has been a big help.
