Well the itch got me and I want a new mod. I give a little history to help the ideas flow. Got a itaste v3 that I use at work then when I get home I use my magneto. So here's what I looking for. Small in size and dependable. I run my mech in 18350 most of the time and throw a 18500 in my pocket just in case I'm gone for a while.. Doesn't have to be vv cause now since I've built my kayfun good and found the wonderful world of low res carto tanks on my magneto im vape happy

Been looking at a few mods
Vamo. A little long even in 18350
Segelei zmax tele. Shorter than vamo but I read about over tightening and messing up boards
And the silver bullet. Nothing holding me back on this one except the price and its only 18650 but a short 18650

The provari is not in the discussion right now. Expensive so I'm hoping to get it one day

How's the reliability on the vamo and zmax

Hi Cville, I have a Sigelei Zmax V3 telescope that I have been using as my everyday mod for just about a year. I am the guy who works in a shop, and drops his mod on the concrete floor.... often enough that I leave my custom built mods as " special occasion" devices...... its finicky with how you press the button but I believe that is due to over tightening. I once heard a crack when I was tightening it down on a flat top battery( did not know at that time it was button top only), ever since then it has been picky about how firm the button should be pressed.

I have 2 iTaste vv3's, but I've had the same itch for a while now, want one that uses the replaceable batteries, instead of just being completely replaceable. I've decided on the Sigelei Zmax v3 flat-top... love the telescoping and being able to use the longest batteries for day-trips to my folks, yet be able to use something more compact when I'm home and have access to batteries/charger. It's also a really nice looking mod, and it's not very expensive, so that's definitely the right one for me. Should be ordering it tomorrow, providing they're still in stock, I ain't saying where cause everyone will go buy one and there won't be one left for me. :D

Not even just a hint Andria? Please:)

AFTER I order it. :D I've been broke all week, had my fingers crossed they'd stay in stock till tomorrow when I have some money, and tomorrow evening isn't here yet, so my fingers are still crossed. ;)

Any update on that Zmax V3? I'm having a toss up between it and the SVD... decisions, decisions...

Yep, I got it... $39.95 at Desert Vapes... ;)

Haven't tried it yet, the batteries haven't arrived yet; I expect they'll be here about Friday-ish. But I can tell you just from looking at it and fooling with it (unscrewing/re-screwing all of it) it's extremely good quality, very solid, and not nearly as large as the pictures would indicate; un-telescoped, it's exactly the same height as my iTaste vv3.

The 18650's and charger came today!

This thing is awesome, that's all I can say. I'm pretty much a chain vaper, usually anywhere from 7w-9w, and the first battery I used took 6 hrs to go from fully-charged 4.2v to 3.9v -- I try to not let any of my batteries get below 3.9v if I can help it, and never lower than 3.8v before charging. So a very comfortable 6 hrs, and a lot of that time spent fiddling with the menu, to get familiar with its 1-button design, so I probably used more of the battery than I normally will, once I *am* familiar with it.

Did you ever go read that SVD thread? Don't say I didn't warn you, if you get that thing and the buttons start going haywire. Everyone in that forum went from "hey, I love my new SVD!" to, 3-4 wks later, "hey, there's something wrong with this button..." That's why I kept looking, because I want a mod that works, but doesn't cost a fortune; the Sigelei was next on my list to explore, after the SVD. I'm glad I kept looking; this thing is truly great. Solid, no "maracas" from buttons shaking, like the vv3, takes these awesome 2250mAh batteries and don't have to keep it "on a leash" (pass-thru) as I always did with the vv3.
