One head, no cleaning, no dry burning, just fill up juice and vape. It's been 3 weeks so far and probably over six of seven tanks, and it gives me no bad taste, still vapes great.

I'm still relatively new to this vaping business, and my first couple of head only gave me 2 tanks before tasting like burnt rubber.

However, I'm using this head differently. I make sure it's well wicked and wet all the time. When I vape, I would position the tank so that the wick is always submerged in the juice even if the tanks gets low. I would tilt it, rotate it, do whatever to make sure the part where the wick goes inside to the coils stays wet. This seems to be really working well.

So is this normal? Prior to this technique, I would just vape in a way that my tank and wick stays vertical, and that tend to produce dry hits, burnt taste fast. Now I vape in a way that my tank/wick is horizontal when I inhale, so I always get a lot of juice to the coils. So have I just been vaping wrong before? Or am I just lucky with this one head?

thanks

zapped are you using the short wicks of the vivinova 2, or the longer wicks like the 1 and 2.5?
the shorter wicks of the vivi 2 are supposed to give better flavor in general and better wicking with higher VG liquid. It might be that the juice doesn't have a chance to separate in the shorter vivi2 wicks. Thats why I ended up going for the vivi 2's before trying the 2.5.

Im using the 2.5s so I might try trimming and maybe flaring the wicks unless you guys think that last bit is a bad idea.

Its funny what a tiny change will do to our juices.Ive been using a carto that I punched for about 2 weeks now from Hoosier vapes.Hype from AV is what I attribute to the longer than normal carto life. Its come loose from the base at the bottom and I just kinda jammed it on there by hand. Its not leaking but its not seated all the way on the base either, maybe a 16th of an inch is showing and the flavor from this thing now is nothing short of AMAZING.

Once I get over this I'll give the Vivi Nova a try with the shorter wicks....thanks for the tip.

I purchased three vivi nova tanks in mid September. None of my heads have gone bad, and I use them all regularly. I clean the tanks when I notice a change in taste, or the liquid in the tank looks dirty. I have swapped two of the heads, but those other heads were still functioning. I actually tried to take apart a head to see about recoiling it just for the heck of it. When I was widening the metal head to pull the coil and wick out I cracked it in two. So I am down one head from about 2 months ago, that was still working when I fiddled with it. I am quite happy with my novas.
