Well, to be honest, the vast majority of topics on this forum have been covered before. But this is a really big place, and the search function isn't as great as we would like it to be. Unfortunately we have to work within the limitations of the software. On top of that, the majority of our members are 40+, and might not be used to dealing with forums and the like. So the best any of us can do is have a bit of patience with each other and try to be as helpful as we can.

Yes. Thank you. A forum admin who understands this philosophy. I used to admin a couple indie filmmaker forums a decade ago for several years. As well as been a member on more forums than I can count. I always hated communities where the members would get upset about people not searching first. Sometimes people don't want to search. People are inherently lazy by nature. Sometimes they just want to ask their question the way they want to ask it. The more you understand human nature, the better your community is. No wonder ECF is such a great community. The forums with the search first rules always come off seemingly unfriendly and rude.
