breaking in new atomizers, they start out tasting like metal for the first little bit. Anybody have any ideas on how to break a new atomizer in without tasting new atomizer during the break in?

I'll have to try that with the next new one. I'm breaking in a new one right now and hate the "flavor." When I started out vaping I remember how different from analog they tasted, truth is it was mostly breaking in a new atty that tasted bad. They should send newbies broken in attys so they can start enjoying from the first draw.
I generally wash out my atomizers before first use.
Any way you do it should work fine.
There's lots of different ways, just search for "cleaning atomizers" or something.
But if you do wash them out, make sure to let them dry more than you think they need.
Otherwise you might be back here asking why they don't work anymore.
I always blow mine out... like at night when I am done vaping for the day and cleaning my stuff... I also prime it myself with a few drops of juice after blowing it out and right before use... seems to help quite a bit
