This is a phenomena I keep seeing on the forums when it comes to reviewing e-liquid flavors. The reasons given seem to be completely anecdotal. "I let it steep" "I used a different voltage" cartomizer, device, complimentary beverage, lunar cycle etc. I groove on anything that reinforces a bit of self-doubt. Do I really know what I like? Do I want to acquire this taste?
I know what I hate more than I know what I like. When I like an e-liquid flavor right off the bat, I burn out on it, it loses much of its charm after a week or a month.
My personal anecdote is that many of the flavors I like have a small amount of pga in them and when it evaporates, it doesn't seem as good. I want to test this theory, but I'm a little bit afraid if I buy a bottle of everclear, I'll drink it all up before I even pour it in the cobalt dropper bottle
Another anecdote is e-liquid batches are like snowflakes.
The only e-liquid so far that I changed my mind and decided that I liked was RIZe rustica. I needed to shake the bottle well before vaping it, duh.
