As I currently own a mvp 2 ,svd I currently have had no issues out of mine but for it to just brick like you have decribed makes me think its more then likely the CENTER PIN. Has been pushed down and if that is the case it will not turn on or fire untill you pull the pin back to the correct position. I had this happen on the svd I thought it was dead but after pulling the pin it was perfect after the fix. It's usually caused be overtighning your tanks

I am real .... about how tight I snug my tanks. In fact with all of my 510 tanks I tighten them until they touch just enough to make a connection then snug my beauty ring up against the tank.

That actually is the proper way to do it.
The 510 thread is really a cigalike thread, not really meant to last indefinitely anyway, so you really need to have those 'beauty rings' to defend your mods from a silly 510 thread/centerpin failure.

Ok this thing is not dead. It is freaking possessed!!!! LOL

I was sitting here reading a thread and I saw something out of the corner of my eye. It was my dead MVP's power button flashing green several times all by itself. I did not touch it or do anything. The green light just started flashing several times and then stopped. My first thought is it miraculously came back to life. No such luck. Pushed the power button but nothing.

If it were me I would leave it on the charger overnight but that's me.

Suffered a death in the family. Came home and grabbed my MVP off the table. Didn't fire. Thought it was odd because I don't remember it being fully drained. Hooked it up to the charger and no light. Took it back off and pushed the button. Got it to turn on. Checked the battery level and it was 4.0. So I figured I would charge it anyway. Hooked it up and the green light came on. It had been on for a few hours and the light was off. Took it off the charger and went to turn it on and nothing. Nada. Zip. So this thing lasted all of about 6 weeks. Nice!!!! I do have another MVP that I have had a few weeks less than the dead one as well as two VV 3.0's that just came in this week. I really hope this isn't a sign of things to come with the rest.

I think I am just gonna bite the bullet and buy a damn Provari and be done with it.

Sorry about your loss on both parts... if u are going to toss the broken mvp pm me I would love to have it because I want to try and build a mod on that platform but i don't want to waste 50 bucks to gut a perfectly working device

The flashing light thing sounds like it is detecting a short. Either something inside or the 510 connector. Fiddle with the side buttons to make sure they are not stuck. Flip the bottom switch on/off a couple of times.

I've pushed and flipped everything possible. I give up. Lol

It could just be something wrong with the firing pin.. (which has happened to 2 of mine) .. have you tried taking some tweezers and gently flicking the pin up a little? worth a shot.. I got one of mine working for a few extra months with that method.

Either way this is why I went and got a provari too so I feel your pain (had 5 devices all fail within a month or so and got sick of wasting money)

I tried gently fiddling with the firing pin last night even though I am always extra careful to not tighten any 510 device beyond the point of making a connection.

can you leave the unit on and plug it in and it works like a passthrough or is is still dead if you do that? when i'm watching TV, i leave the MVP2 on, plug it in the bottom and vape away, then just set it in it's holder and it will still charge overnight even when it is in 'on' mode. just a thought.

Tried everything I including pass-thru. Nothing. No power or lights. As far as I am concerned it is dead as a door nail. Not wasting any more time futzing with it. In fact when I get a brand new one I am going to sell it and use the money towards the Provari fund. I still have the other one, my two VV 3's and a cheapo ego 1100. I'm just glad the one that failed is the one I bought local and not online.
