First off I will thank anyone who can answer any or all of these questions for me .... The instructions that came with my evic are lacking to say the least. So I bought and received my eVic about a week and a half ago and am loving it I also love my eGO-C VV but that's a different thread. So I finally figured out all the screens and what they do meaning if I hold the turn knob for a few seconds constant and it scrolls. Now on to what I do not know and their is no instructions or guidance on the website nor is their in the manual also no one from joyetech has responded to my email for a week now I sent it 2 times just to make sure. So I will list hem so it is easier to read.

1. What is a good alarm temp for over heating ? I see in the pictures 35c which I think is about 95f is this where it should be ?

2. what is stealth mode

3. I think I know what RVV,RVW1,2,3 are but how do I get the pre loaded juice times and V/W info to my eVic and where do I place the files I down load and assign them to one of the options above. This is assuming I understand what this really is LOL. If not please explain. if I do understand it then how do I write my own as well.

4. I started with 1.4 as my MVR software was this ok or did I need to start with 1.0 then update every single time until 1.4 my eVic seems to have everything it should based on photo's and decription on it the way it should but is missing the charge only feature or the user options on the main page...... it also when I click the icon always asks permission to open the program to make changes to my computer.

5. What is Home Scr L , R in the vapor set feature - home screen ?

6. What is Inverse in the configure option ? what does this even do of all the questions I'm asking this one scares me the most.

7. When I enter my "Menu" it reads in this order is this correct - sleep, vapor set, configure, device, stealth, power off, and exit. Is this all the options tying me back to question 4 I think.....I'm not assuming there is anything missing though I know things have changed been renamed and even relocated to different locations since version 1.0 of the MVR.

8. LAST QUESTION !!!!! MVR is different from the firmware I believe ,,...... I'm almost sure...... how do I know what firmware I am running ? I believe the newest version is 1.1 and I think mine came pre loaded as it is literally brand new with 1.1 already installed as the menu and features reflect the 1.1 firmware update but HOW DO I KNOW ? and for that mater if not how do I do it I have watched the video etc..... but I'm sorry video's with no words don't cut it for me I'm more of a reader step by step... I do NOT want to fry my eVic one week into owning it and I love this thing even with all I do not understand and know.

ok.... all that is out of the way in one place.... I appreciate anyone who made it through any part of this laundry list of questions and you will have my eternal gratitude if you can guide me with any/all of it. BTW going on 2 months now ZERO analogs !!!!! and I feel like a million bucks for it ! thanks !! - Aaron :vapor:

I use 130F I think? 95 is way too low and will go off all the time.

2. what is stealth mode

display is turned off.

no idea, dont use that feature

program does seem buggy, I can't get it to work properly on win7, but win8 works ok. I think you can skip version, I did with no problem.

5. What is Home Scr L , R in the vapor set feature - home screen ?
what will be shown on the top left/right when you press the fire button.

6. What is Inverse in the configure option ? what does this even do of all the questions I'm asking this one scares me the most.
reverses the display so that back parts are white and vice versa.

7. When I enter my "Menu" it reads in this order is this correct - sleep, vapor set, configure, device, stealth, power off, and exit. sorry can't remember don't have evic on me right now.

if you go into the device menu there is an option to display the version

Awesome great start that answered a lot of them !!!!! you rock much appreciated. btw the device is telling me the version it is running is 1.4..... that is why I am confused. The MVR version is 1.4 but I based on the website the firmware only goes to 1.1 ???? Very confused and Joytech is not very helpful with these questions you were 100x more. thanks again. Any other input is greatly appreciated.

yeah their software sucks. just upload the latest MVR and that will have the current firmware version. it is very confusing and fussy. I just cant get it to work on a win7 machine but the win8 machine works ok. Honestly I don't use the MVR, I only use it when updating the firmware and at that time I'll take a look at my vape records.

The mvr software and firmware are both at 1.4 right now. I bought mine a month ago and it was running 1.2 or 1.3 out of the box and when I downloaded and connected my evic it updated it to the 1.4 firmware. The menu goes : sleep, vapor set, configure, device, stealth, power off, and exit. You have those your correct. Settings are variable volts, variable wattage, (think range or regulated)vv, and rvw1-3 are profiles you set up. Plug evic into PC and create profiles in mvr say to heat at 6w for 2sec and raise the w to 8w for another 3 sec is what I got from it but haven't tried it much yet. Last thing you can move around all the home screen stuff in the mvr software and pick what u want. If I find more I will pass it on.

Thanks everyone !!!! so that does answer the majority of the questions pretty well except the RVV,RVW1,2,and 3 .... I see the presets on Joytechs site and I even downloaded the Halo Turkish tobacco profile being it is my favorite juice....... but it went into my downloads.... I went into the MVR tree and I would assume it would have gone into the RVW folder but when I tried to update the my vapors it is looking in the CIG folder in he MVR tree..... the profiles are .rvw files .... why doesn't Joyech have this info or how to on the website !!!! very frustrating. TO be honest I may not even use it that often if at all but I want to at least know how to use it. thanks again everyone..... and please keep the answers coming in as there are stil a few unanswered. Thanks !!

This is the Variable Voltage setting, where you can change the the voltage using the ring on the eVic.

VW
This is the Variable Wattage setting, where you can change the the voltage using the ring on the eVic.

RVV
This is for the programmed setting you can do using the MVR software. You can program a custom "vape curve" using Variable Voltage levels, that actually changes over the length of draw. In v1.3, you get ONE of these programmable VV settings.

RVW1, RVW2, and RVW3
These are also for the programmed settings you can do using the MVR software. You can program a custom "vape curve" using Variable Wattage levels, that actually changes over the length of draw. In v1.3, you get THREE of these programmable VW settings.

The advantage to having three VW settings is that different juices taste better at different power settings, so you can dial in your program to your favorite juices. Also, different devices (cartos, attys, RBAs, etc) perform better at different settings, so you can make custom vape-curve settings tailored to your favorite atty or tank or whatever.

Thanks !!! That confirms what I thought this was ...... I was not 100% sure but this confirmed it..... but my real question was for an exact example if you are on Joyetechs website and you go to myvapors under the eVic model. There are preset RVW already on there with suggestions from users and the mfg of the juice etc... that you can DOWNLOAD.... this is my million dollar question.... once downloaded what folder do you put them in within the eVic ladder tree ie. the .cig,.hex, or .RVW folder ? now common sense says put it in the .RVW folder but the eVic does not recognize this. For that matter how do you ssgn these presets to a RVW1-3 ? thanks

Never mind I just figured it out....... in your MVR you go to the vapor set option..... change your settings to rvw and a interface will pop up then hit import. Go to the place you downloaded your preset to and click it. this will download it to the RVW preset and you can jump between the 3 and change them as you wish..... another one down..... I just needed to play around with the MR a bit more.
