The worst part of getting a REO is waiting for the mail. Meantime, make sure you've got your batteries and charger and cartos/attys all set up, along with some low nic juice.

Double check here to make sure you've got everything you need. The 2nd worst part is realizing you don't have what you need..after it arrives :)

And congratulations and welcome to REOville!

But yeah, I switched over to Chrome myself and haven't went back to IE.

Heh, not sure how we got on that subject. :) But yeah, I'm a developer. I put a shovel full of dirt over IE a long time ago in favor of Firefox. I'd been toying with Chrome for a while, but ultimately held back due to some fantastic plugins for FF (TabMixPlus, Firebug, HTTPFox, etc.). The combination of the discontinuation of the Google Toolbar for FF in conjunction with FF's new release strategy pushed me over the edge, though.

LOL, Firefox is a more superior browser compared to the majority out there. Honestly not really as tech savvy compared to others I know. But, when I took a course in web site design (elective). They seem to really favor Firefox over any other browser.

Anyways, that's an interesting article though. It seems pretty obvious on how the two companies were going to clash eventually. Google made it pretty hard for FF in terms of letting their users transition to the newer versions. I'm sure they didn't want the majority of them to still be using V 3.6.

Which I agree would benefit Google since they want more people using Chrome. I guess it'll be interesting to see how Mozilla will compensate for the loss of the Google toolbar in the future.

I'm not tellin'
Don't get me started on Columbus Day. We all know that he wasn't the first one to discover America. Especially North America. In 986A.D. Bjarni Herjolfsson made a series of expeditions to America. Let's admit that Columbus Day represents the day the first Spanish explorer discovered America, why do we celebrate that? Let's call it what it is. Another cop-out day for the mailman to postpone my e-juice orders! DELIVER THOSE PACKAGES PEOPLE! lol

I knew this was coming LMAO! Although, Columbus never landed in America in contrast to popular belief.

It was actually the Bahamas. That however was considered part of "The Americas" in the 16th century. As was his later landing in south america. So as long as you Don't specify North America, he did land in the America.

Well technically......LOL Your right in that he was in "The Americas" during that time. Correct me if I'm wrong but, isn't Haiti the farthest he had ever gotten? I know that he reached a small Island in the pacific and commited genocide on the Taino, then went to Cuba afterwards.

It starts to get cloudy for me after that. It's been a while since I read about Columbus's journey's.

WELCOME TO THE TEAM ERICH!!

Good to see you in the REO sub-forum. But yeah, I switched over to Chrome myself and haven't went back to IE.

I'm really missing my Chrome. I'm now using 12" iBook G4 with OS 10.4xxx, for my lap notebook, so can't use Chrome without some "hacking." Will do when I have the time. Main thing I miss is Google Toolbar. Tried a couple of other browsers, that can use Google Toolbar, but they are too big and laggy so sticking with Safari, for now. It is a speed demon, compared to the others, on my G4.

Our first Major Out of Country Dive Trip was San Salvador, in the Bahamas, where Columbus was supposed to have first landed. It has remained our favorite dive trip. We were there soon after they opened the island to tourist diving in mid 70s. Pristine!!!!! Haven't been back so can't comment on conditions now.
