Since I seem to be pretty good at burning up cartos...

I am waiting on new 510 cartos. I think the old ones are done. They don't hold a charge(juice wise), the hole has retracted(difficult to get a puff), and they are burnt inside. So, when I fill them, I let them sit and soak a while to make sure they are nicely saturated, either putting them on top a juice bottle or in a little foil tray to collect the liquid.
Question: The juice that drains out of some of really toastey ones, brings with it some of the burnt juice and sometimes some particulates. I am wondering if this is unhealthy. I would say that it is. Thoughts?

This is a downfall of "filler around fabric" cartos. You must keep them wet or some of them will scorch, to the point of burning the carto filler material.

What you are seeing in the form of "burnt juice" is very dark juice right? Those are flavoring components that do not vaporize well (compared to PG/VG) and get left behind- or the juice is darkened from oxidation accelerated by the presence of heat.

At any rate: with any of this equipment it's a good idea to keep atomizers/cartomizers wet at all times, and clean or throw them away before they get ratty. This would be to avoid anything "more unhealthy" than vaping itself.

My opinion of course.

Yeah they are to be tossed. I noticed the change in color when finishing up and blowing the juice out on a paper towel. I can clearly see the differences in the old stuff and the new stuff. Thanks for the answers.

I figured if it didn't taste to awful bad they were probably OK to use some. They certainly don't last but for about three maybe 5 puffs. It the condition they are now. Not when new, new...man they are sweet.
