due to the protective circuitry in the Vamo, it is reading a resistance less than 1.3 on the coil and has gone into a non firing mode ( thus the low load text on the readout) Since the Ego may not have protective circuitry as the Vamo does, it may provide a current to the coil. If the coil is designed to be less than 1.3 ohms and there is no direct short, than the I-Clear will work ( but not on the Vamo). But you did mention that the Vamo was stating a 0 ohm reading... so I would believe that the coil is shorted somewhere in the airtube and producing enuf heat to "work" on the Ego unit. If the coil is shorted, the Ego will suffer damage eventually....
