Is my Protank 3, or Vamo V5 the problem? (Or Both?)

I've had a Vamo 5 setup with a Protank 3 since February, and it was working great for me. Then I shattered the outside screen on the sidewalk, so last Sunday, I got a new Vamo 5. Two days ago, It started saying I had a low battery, when mine was fully charged. I kept switching out the batteries, and nothing worked until I switched out my wick (which was new). Yesterday, I had to pick up a new tank, and ever since, I'm having a combination of that Low battery screen with every other wick, and my wicks keep burning WAY too quickly, even on low wattage. I've gone through 4 wicks since yesterday, and I can't even get a decent drag without burning. I'm so frustrated!! Does this sound familiar to anyone?

And make sure it's in RMS mode. Some of them come set to MEAN, which won't provide as smooth a voltage to the coil, and won't taste as good at a given power setting. (Hold the down / - button for at least 10 seconds. It's a "toggle", so if it comes up RMS, it WAS in Mean, if it comes up MEAN is WAS RMS, so repeat to put it back.)
