I have an e-cig eGo and I drop the e-juice on the atomizer, the taste sucks.

The bad taste may be from the shipping oil that comes in the atty. Always try and get as much out as possible before attempting to vape, or it will taste like crap. The method you are doing is called dripping. It works fine, you just have to figure out what's to much, and what's to little. To much, and you'll flood it. Getting little vapor, and making a mess. To little, and you'll get a metallic nasty dry hit, or kill your atty. About 3 or 4 drops on a completely dry atty(maybe more depending on how it hits the first time), and then about 2 drops every 6 or 7 hits. Hope this helps!!

ah....this is a helpful thread. Been experimenting with dripping on my 901. Didn't want it to get to dry and kill it, yet didn't want too much juice and flood it. If I hear a gurgle, gurgle when pressing the battery, yet it still hits, is that okay? Or am I nearing the flood line?

The gurgle gurgle is right in the verge of to much. But if it's hitting good, you're in the money. Just add a little less next time. Usually, 2 drops is about the max, unless it's a brand new atty, or one you've just blown dry into a paper towel.

A gurgle sound from the atty probably means it is just about to "breach the levy" and flood. When mine does this and still hits I just tend to be a bit more careful to keep the PV a little more vertical for a few hits to avoid any leaking. If you are hearing the gurgle when you are puffing that can be a different story (often you can feel the mouthpiece vibrating with the gurgle). This usually means the fluid is getting into the mouthpiece. When this happens, I definitely keep the PV as vertical as possible (leaks into mouthpiece and sometimes across the battery) and take much slower, controlled puffs until it dissipates.

Re "new atomizer" taste - take if off of the Ego (and clean up any juice that may have gotten on the battery). Blow through the atty into a tissue to clean it out some. Then if you really want to clean it, run hot water through it or soak it in alcohol then dry it - blow a hair drier through it etc to get it dry. Then prime with juice (2-3 drops on the atomizer bridge)

I highly recommend de-wicking your atty before using it if dripping. The filaments between the bridge and coil seem to burn if not kept quit wet (which doesn't necessarily happen if you drip). Just grab some tweezers and get all of those little white threads out of there. You don't need 'em if you drip. A quick search of this site should give you clearer instructions if needed. Happy dripping!

I'd hold off on that until it's about time for the atty to die. The bridge isn't great at at keeping excess liquid from spilling out of the atty, but it's better than nothing imo. Or if they are hell bent on de bridging an atty, make sure they have extra's at least.

Edit: My bad lol read to fast. Thought it said de bridging. Carry on sir lol.
