In the last month I have purchased the following:

A Moradin RTA
An Hcigar VT 75 - Defective, returned
A smok X-Cube Ultra - Defective, returned
A Mutation X RDA
A Nitecore i2
8 oz Vegetable Glycerine
8 oz Propylene Glycol
18 oz various flavor concentrates
120 ml nicotine 100 mg/ml
8 unicorn bottles
A Lavabox M DNA 75
A Smok H-Priv
A Wismec Theorem
An iJoy Limitless
3.5 feet Native Wick cotton
15 feet fused SS clapton wire 26/30
A Coil Master Coil Jig V3
A Supreme Aromamizer 7ml

I have gone absolutely crazy! I had a little extra money, so I spent it on vape stuff and I am having a great time and vaping some really tasty juice that I have made myself.

This is a really fun obsession. I didn't think I could have this kind of fun at 64 years of age. I work in the IT/computer field so this kind of stuff really appeals to me. Not only that, I have been cigarette free for almost 3 years now.

That's really not much hardware at all... yet. :p

I wish I had stopped with a mere four or five times as much.

But you're woefully short on DIY fixin's... get on that. :D

(addressing you like a newb... then I see your join date. But I'm serious about the DIY supplies. ;) )

My experience is spending time testing, researching, learning, is better than spending money. I try to stretch out the buying so it's based on better information about what I like and what's available. After two years I'm still learning.

@6steelstrings - Yes, we senior citizens CAN enjoy vaping as much as the younger crowd, can't we? There are many of us here on the ECF, too! :)

I agree with puffon - you need more nic, lots of it in fact. If you enjoy vaping and DIY as much as it seems you do, you need to get enough nic base for as long as you want to vape in the future. Hopefully, you've read about the FDA garbage going on, stricter regulations taking effect, high vape taxes being imposed by more & more states, etc. Nic base will most lkely be the hardest thing to get in the future, because of regulations and a highly inflated price...if DIYers will even be able to get it at all.

You need to figure out how much Nic base you'll need, buy it by the litre, rebottle it into smaller glass bottles, and store it in your freezer for longterm use. PG, VG, and flavorings are used in many other products, so they should still be readily available in the future. No need to "stockpile" those in most people's opinions.

Good luck and happy vaping!

Actually I am working towards 0% nicotine so eventually I won't have to worry about nic availability.

I quickly went from 12mg down to 2mg this year and think I will stay there. I DIY and at 2mg, a litre of 100mg nic will last me about 15 years. 2mg doesn't ever give me a head rush or any other negative effect, but keeps me from even thinking about a cigarette.

I don't think I will ever go down to 0mg as I have enough nic for decades and I am not smoking, which is the most important thing IMO.

If you can stay off the smokes at 0mg, good stuff!

I don't work in the IT field, I'm just a nerd :D. I could never tinker with my cigarettes but I can tinker with my vape. A lot of people complain about the DNA 200's Escribe but that's what I love about it. Buying mods and tanks is what makes vaping fun. Glad you like vaping.
I'm with you. I love how granular escribe can get especially if you are doing TC using TCR. I may not use all of what escribe has to offer, actually I don't even use a fraction of it, but I love playing with it. I even added a custom screen theme to my Lavabox just because I can.

I stole my custom screens from Evolv's forum. What I like about Escribe is you can set everything exactly the way you want. I mean it's the little things like controlling how fast the screen fades in and setting what you see on the screen. The DNA 200 is the Linux of vaping, not the easiest to setup but once you do nothing can beat it imho.

It's awesome that you are so into this at 64 years young.
Part of my job is promoting my stores own cigarette brand...I hate it.
As of recent, I now get to pick all of our ecig hardware and juice to sell, and my boss is convinced that I can't get the older generations to switch.
It's been a nightmare with some folk.
I don't want to hijack your post, just want to share that people like you give me hope that I can I can convince these older whipper snappers to make the switch. I've had a little luck, thanks to the motivation I get from posts like this. So thank you.
