I hope someone can help here. Coughing on a KR808D1, and ok on a 510

How to explain.
I have both models and am using similar fluid in both. Recently I have had a respiratory issue to the point where I went back to regular cigs since they were drier than e-cigs. It is some kind of bug I suspect.
That said, I could pick up a 510 model, and the vapor seems softer, and able to be taken in, yet rough.
On the KR808D-1 model, as soon as I get 1/2 a lung full, I am coughing hard.

Now I have been using the KR's with no issues for the past 6 mo's and love em. 510's I recently picked up on, and noticed a smoother vape.

BUT the formats are so similar I was wondering how there could be such a differing reaction.

Cigs were tolerable and better than e-cigs, coughing wise.
....
I know I'm asking this on the medical side, not technical side of the site, but I'm anxious to get back to vaping. I do smoke normally but greatly reduced from the past and am working it down.

Would anyone have some insight on the differences?

probably different strengths of batteries. i have the 808 but havent tried the 510.

while u arent feeling well try some juices that arent so harsh. i had the same problem and had to back a way off of the menthols and mints etc. could handle the fruits.

u said u felt sick. do u have a fever, chills, all those lovely things that go with being sick ???? if not u may have quitters flu which makes u feel really sick like the flu. i have had it. the 1st time it was horrible. have had what i think is a mild case of it since. it can be just miserable.

Hey thanks for responding.

Nah, It's not flue or quit related. No fever, and I'm coming out of it now. I didn't feel sick whatsoever. A little run down, due to lack of breathing capacity (which for me is unusual). I still smoke (yet 1/4 of what I did), and am working it down.
I'm beginning to think it's the vapor temp difference which is barely noticeable (and very well could be my imagination) between model types..
As I'm typing this I'm vaping Johnson Creek 18mg, Tennessee Cured (VG). in a 510, and a 808. It seems like for the most part they are pretty even and right now, issues/differences are minimal. But yesterday I couldn't have said that. Yes there is a slight temp difference.

its not just the units. its has to do with the liquids too. menthols and mints are harsher than fruities. u just have to fool around with it and see what works. i can only vape a little of the menthol and mint. too harsh on my throat. its gets scratchy and i tend to cough. im no expert. may want to post where they talk about liquids etc. hope this helps just a little

I never smoke(vape) fruits/menthols/mints. I also aviod many flavorings due to not knowing the safety of what is in them.
To me (and I'm no expert here) the worst part of any e-juice is the flavorings, as far as a safety issue.
So I stick to the tobacco type flavors jet Johnsn Creeks fluids do seem to have a little more flavorings like vanilla/etc, in them.

I'm good today. An old standard is still giving me fits, which is a "Camel" knockoff in PG , non mixed . I have no PG allergy I know of, and routinely mix the Camel PG with a J.C. (VG) Tennessee Cured or Domestic (pipe type flavor) 50/50. That;s my mainstay.
All I could handle was (vg) Tenn Cured straight up, in a 510, and later the 808 began to be ok. That's what I don't quite understand.
