wow didn't think of it like that... 8-o

lol im kinda impressed with myself now lol

I'm glad you found comfort in the way I choose to look at this journey. I started looking at it that way the first time I slipped. I was all down on myself cause I felt like I let my wife down, I felt like I let my parents down ( they are BOTH former smokers who have been quit. My Dad over 10 years and my Mom for the last 7), I felt like I let CrashTestJeep down ( I've known CTJ for HALF of my life........and that is no stretch of the truth)..........but I noticed I didn't feel as if I let myself down. I was a very weird feeling for me as I usually could care less if others are impressed with what I do.
I sat down and thought it over. "Well, Here you are.........Back to day one." Then it hit me. "For the last 15 years you have smoked 2 and a half packs a day. That's 50 cigarettes a day. 50 Smokes a day at 31 days a month.........That's 1550 cigarettes a month!!!! Now that I think about it.......I went from 1550 cigarettes a month to 1 in the last 2 months. I've not let anyone down.......I've actually proven to myself that I CAN DO THIS.......I just need to be better prepaired."
Since then......I've stocked up on plenty of juice, plenty of batteries and plenty of atties. No more trips to the store for anything except Mt. Dew and food!!! Awesome!!!!

Gamer, You aren't a failure. You are an inspiration to the next person who reads this and thinks "Man......I don't think this is gonna work."
Chin up!!! Everything is okay.

Tasted just like my ecig just without the nice throat hit i had been getting... i actually didn't enjoy it much, I got my Nic fix for about 30min and was so disgusted with myself i just went cold turkey till the next day (i wasn't the nicest person on earth that night)

The next day i could actually still smell it on my clothes. I did not enjoy the smell and neither did my friends when they ... smelt? what i had done... :(

also after smoking it i was tired. My lungs got real heavy and i just wanted to sit. it felt like i had gone running or something.

I must say, I did NOT enjoy it like i thought I would of. The only thing that made it good was it steadied my hand for a bit.

I made sure to get some juice and to make sure that it NEVER happens again.
You are sounding a bit obsessive. It was one cigarette. A short while ago, you were smoking many. I'm having trouble understanding why this is so upsetting. If you had been on a diet for a few weeks and then had one piece of candy, would your diet be ruined when you resumed it the next day? If you had lost 20 pounds, do you believe those 20 pounds would immediately reappear because you had one piece of candy.

Contrary to KENTC i do keep a banner, i think it is something to be proud of!
but at the same time, dont take it to seriously, and dont be hard on yourself. Dont try to quit smoking, try vaping! (if that makes sense)
I know how desperate each of use were/are to quit analogs but if we put pressure ourselves it causes stress, stress leads to. . . .
What I did when I got my ecigs was I would use my ecig primarliy and if I wanted a analog I would have an analog, didnt stress ab it, didn't feel bad, just let it be (it took 3 days and 5 analogs for me to completely quit) havent had an analog since.

Now im trying to drop my nic level down (11mg now, 6mg in the mail!!! started at 24)
but when im stressed i still think ab analogs, and as true for every exsmoker the craving NEVER truly goes away. but I keep some 24mg on hold in case of a stressful day, and it ALWAYS takes care of any "analog" cravings.

I know im talking ab myself alot, im hoping that my examples will help u,

anyway relax, remember Thomas Eddison found 1000 ways how not to make a lightbulb before he found the right ecig to finally quit. . . . wait, i mean. AH **** IT you get what im saying

No big deal man. I set my quit day for New Years Day this year. I made it about a month and a half before slowly stating again after I gave away my starter kit. Trying it again starting saturday.

Im looking at it this way, Im not going to worry about the one or two analogs I may smoke in the future. What Im looking at is being alot healthier, and saving .... loads off money. Im not going to feel guilty about it if I grab a analog every once in awile. Hell, Im proud of myself for the month after 22yrs.

ok something has honestly been on my mind... and for whatever reason its totally screwing with me!

so... I started E-Cigs to quit smoking TOTALY. Not quit Nic just smoke, lets get that straight...

SO i had been doing VERY well and not had a smoke ALL month... until my carts ran out... and i had no juice... and i was at work... stressed.... my partner had a cigarette.... and i took one... and i used it...

(Note: I ordered Carts but for whatever reason they took FOREVER to get to me)

NOW... i know i failed myself...

but .. i mean. when i tell people that i've been smoke free, im a lier now right? does that little slip really mean my clock has to start all over? Instead of being smoke free for a month am i now smoke free for 3 days?

This might be stupid but seriously, since I've really tried to get off Cigarettes this has messed me up...
My husband wasn't sure he could stay off cigarettes so he started by saying "I haven't had a real cigarette since *insert date here*" you can modify that to say "I've had only one real cigarette since *insert date here*" DO NOT start your clock over and quit beating yourself up. You haven't failed. Failure would be if you quit the PV and went back to cigarettes.

I can't be that serious about being a non-smoker.

I have not smoked for awhile now but I won't say I never will (well maybe cigarettes but I can mos def see myself having a nice cigar every once in awhile).

One of the best things about vaping is bumming a cigarette every once in awhile just to see how you don't like it the way you used to like it...unless you love it and in that case you are screwed! :p

Since the smoking addiction usually does not seem to cause serious real time issues like other addictions do, until the end that is, I don't think you have to look at it the same, as far as 'days sober' goes. 420 did a good job of putting things into perspective. But since it is a potentially deadly habit that we're trying hard to address, I think it's important that you realize you had a relapse. Now, one quick smoking relapse, or even a week, is not going to put you in jail or into the hospital after an overdose, or have you pawning your mother's jewelry, but it shows that you still have an addiction to remain aware of. It really doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, it's a personal endeavor, and anyone close to you is certainly better off around you now than they were before, even after that one slip. That's my 2¢. I know how you feel though, That's why I have the cheesy sig line and will not allow myself the glory of those fancy quit counters, I cannot call myself a quitter by any means if I have not yet gone one day without a smoke. You are definitely ahead of some of us when it comes to making the effort. :thumb:

Stop Counting.

I have said this before. I stink at commitment. ask my ex wives. If I can go one day without a cigarette, I've had a good day. Today was a good day.

I have not quit smoking. I just chose not to have one today. I can handle that.
I have not quit drinking. I just chose not to have a drink today. I can handle that. Somehow it's been 26 years since my first day not drinking. Those days are no longer relevnat. Just today.

I have not quit being an a*hole. Today I chose to be an a*hole. Maybe tomorrow will be a good day for that.

I say put the stick down man, quit beating yourself up.

I LOVE the feeling of smoking one and hating it.
I LOVE the feeling of having power over the cigarette instead of it having power over me.

I laugh at cigarettes now, and spit in their faces.

THAT quote kicks ...!

...don't give up man, we all know how bad smoking sucks, maybe this is the way we can finally beat it.
:p:pmy Chucks were just born:p:p

I smoked 2 cigarettes on my first 2 days of vaping (used to smoke a pack a day, thats 20 cigs here). Well..i must say i did it mostly to test myself as i didnt really feel a great need for the cancer sticks. I am glad i did it (and i bet 99% of vapers do). I found that i could not stand the horrible taste in my mouth. And yes the smoke stench stays forever in ones clothes. It is a sick stench!

So...tell us about your childhood now, coz your issue with having had that cig is over baby!
