Hey Everyone,

I live in Hawaii, and bought my first E-cig today. I bought the njoy Npro.
They actually have a store front here on the island of Oahu. So I just walked right in and made the purchase. They actually let me try it out on a fully charged one. It does seem to have a little bit of a learning curve.
The guys at the store were really helpful, and very very nice. I guess the cool thing about having the store front right here, I can just walk right in and they will take care of me. These Npro's come with a one year warranty on all the parts, so thats good news too. I paid $136.00 bucks including tax. That came with 2x10 packs of refill cartridges, and the starter kit that comes with two batteries, wall charger, atomizer, and 5 refill cartridges as well.

I cant stop playing with this thing now and showing it off. In any case I have had it total of one hour now. I got some questions...
First off I have noticed a tiny bit of liquid running out between the battery and cartridge..I am assuming this is the nic liquid. Is this normal, or should I be concerned in any way? Second, vapor levels very between drags and I feel like I have to pull pretty hard. To get a satisfying hit.

I guess I am looking for some reassurance, and maybe some tips for the newbie type advice. I will definitely be checking this forum for information as much as possible.

Well, the bad news is you bought the bad device. The good news is that you learned enough by vaping on this device to know that a good device would satisfy you in a healthier way then cigarettes! Time to move on to a better device though. You will see, soon enough.

Esmoking.net...what makes you say that the it is a bad device? The RN4081 is decent, I wouldn't consider it bad, great for dripping and he got a 1 yr warranty. Have you personally used this model?

You might need a long battery charge, 4+ hours anyway, maybe 8-12 on first charge. You might have a slightly overfilled cart. It's possible there is a problem, however too early to tell (per your comments).

The Npro is a super-mini style, I believe it's a branded version of the model DSE103 aka RN4081. Sellers commonly recommended on the forum sell the same models for much less and if you buy from those sellers you won't hear such criticism. Overall though the super-minis are less popular than other types due to their smaller cartridge and shorter battery use time.

The most popular types right now are pen style (DSE801 aka RN4072) and mini style (DSE901 aka DSE901b aka RN4075). The regular longer Njoy ecig is a branded pen style.

Njoy charges a premium, especially on their carts. OTOH they have a much longer ecig warranty and have gone the route of supplying big names nationwide and gaining some legitimacy for ecigs, including taking the legal risks. As they've become more popular the customer service has become spotty - you might have to be persistent to get replacements (via phone/email).

Congrats on trying ecigs, I hope they work well for you. :)

Hi SmOoV_1 and welcome to the forum! :)

Since I know nothing at all about the Njoy Npro I can't really give you any advise, but I don't think the tiny bit of liquid you see leaking is any big deal. Since you mentioned getting "cartridges" but not e-liquid I'm guessing that the reason you are not getting (good) vapor consistantly might be because of lowered liquid in your cartridge. I don't know how long Njoy says their cartridges last, but some companies make claims that their cartridges will equal a pack (or more) of cigarettes, and this is just NOT true. Once you are not getting the vapor you want from the e-cig, you can buy a commercial e-juice to top off the fiber in the cartridge, and it will then start to produce more vapor again. There is also a thread on the forum here for mixing your own e-juice. I know one of the replies to you suggested that you bought a bad device. I know my first e-cig purchase has a bad reputation (and deserves it!) and no amount of e-juice made it work any better. If you are basicly happy with the Npro other than the vapor, I would try ordering (or making) some e-liquid to add to your cartridges and see if that gives you what is missing. If then you decide it still isn't exactly what you want, I would suggest trying a DSE901. It is a very popular e-cig for beginners... and reasonable cost at under $50.00. :)

thanks mixxy and jamie for the good advice...

I think it was the battery though.. I let one charge all day, and I have been drinking all night tonight..I switch that battery out with this one...I am getting a fairly decent pull now...I have went through two cartriges already today..I have been hitting this thing non-stop since I started drinking...still fell like I gotta pull a bit harder than a regular "analog" cig still...I am getting decent vapor...I cannot tell the difference between the flavors at all though... IN any case..it looks as though liquid is chaeper and a better..I may try some of the wicked liquid spammed all over the site, or some from pure smoker...I guess if there is an ecig out there that gives off more vapor and thicker feeling throat hit please let me know...

Mixxy..is that the case with the DSE901..ifso where can I score one?

as of now I will be sticking with the Npro because they have an actual store like 10 miles from my house...I dont have to deal with the internet thing what so ever, and if I need new parts they supply em in an instant. Plus the one year warranty with direct customer support seems like a really good deal ..especially if I can just walk in there and get my vapor back on in the same day...

So far I dont know if this going to work for me yet.. I have had one cig all day... thats even since I have started drinking, however, I have been sucking on this damn npro like every 5 minutes...I dont know if thats a good or bad thing...I sure as heck didnt smoke this much...

please keep the advice coming becuase I am a serious newb.. I think I have learned more in the last few hours reading this forum though... I wish I would have had a little more incite before walking into that store today, but heh..I still dont think I got a bad deal..

There are MANY suppliers that sell the DSE901 (they are also called RN4072) so if you are going to purchase e-liquid (juice) you might want to find a supplier that you can purchase both items from, so you can combine shipping. The prices will vary... and so will the warranty. The warranty on e-cig parts can range from zero... to usually 14 days - 1 year. I've been vaping now for almost 2 months, and have purchased almost everything from suppliers that offer only a 14 day warranty.. and have had a number of parts fail within the 14 days, and some soon after. I'm now more interested in paying a little more to get a longer warranty (as long as a supplier has a good reputation for honoring it.) The parts fail... they are considered disposable for the most "part"... no pun intended! ;) If your Npro has a 1 year warranty... AND Njoy is good about honoring their warranty... AND you are happy with their e-cig... I would just try using e-liquid.. and making sure you have a freshly charged battery. Hopefully this model will work out great for you... and maybe once the warranty is up you'll want to try something new! Who knows what they will come up with in another year... but hopefully e-cigs with a much longer lifespan! :) Also (depending on what other models your e-cig is compatable with) you might be able to get a USB passthrough battery that can be used with your Njoy while on the computer -- or use with a battery pack (made for powering ipods etc.) when you're away from the computer. This is what I use with my 901, after so many failed batteries, and I love it! :D It's just like having a fresh e-cig battery at all times!

if you have liquid leaking from your e-cig,
unscrew the attomizer from the battery
and wipe both of the threads carefully to dry them.
you do not want that liquid to seep into your battery,
it will kill it.

if you can get spare and replacement parts for that one
easily, then stick with it, when you are sure you will stay with e-cigs, then you can look around for another to try.

good luck,
Di ........

This is what you've got - http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/electronic-cigarette-reviews/6712-rn4081-npro.html

If it satisfies you then it's good, personal vaporisers are very subjective.

Replacement parts can be found at Puresmoker (PeeWee) and Totally Wicked (super).

Get some eliquid to refill, Njoy charge an arm and a leg for their cartridges and make sure you have spares, atomisers, batteries and chargers do break frequently.

This is true. Where they'd have the advantage is over people that never actually read the fine print...

"Hi, I need to exchange this atomizer"

"Sure thing...blah blah blah...We can totally take care of that problem...idle conversation...so, which liquid do you like best? I really like the Totally Wicked stuff...blah blah blah..."

"I've been using Riskee and I think it's the mutt's nuts!"

"Yeah, your warranty's void...have a nice day"

"D'OH!"

I just wanted to add my review to this (as i cannot post a new thread yet). I have bought the NPRO as well. I have used it off and on for a few months...mostly off...because within a few days the pull became harder and harder and harder. At that point, I put it up and sucked up my analogs. I then purchased a new vehicle, which I will not smoke analogs in....and decided to whip out my not so NJOYable NPRO. I endured a few long trips of getting virtually no smoke (with new carts or eliquid) and nickin' out like a ...well...I can't say those words here! Finally, the atomizer gave out. This is ridiculous considering it was HARDLY ever used, but a couple of times a week for a month or so. The atomizer cold, I was left sad and sucking on analogs again. Then I contacted NJOY and they promptly replaced the atomizer. Now, I smoke only Eciggies now...and guess what? 10 days on atmozier, it still smokes, but is getting harder and harder...telling me that my atomizer is about to give out again. I had tried everything to rejuvinate the last one, blowing it out and all...then finally using the cleaning techniques on these forums...I don't wish to go down that road again. I can't wait for a new atomizer 2 times a month or whatever that equals out to in the end, warranty or not! So, I ordered a Janty Kissbox and am hoping for the best. On the other hand, we have also tried Liberty Stix (a lot cheaper than npro, but seems to be same except for the atomizer) and the atomizer is a dream for a tiny little stick, but the batteries are a flop. Sebastion from liberty stix though has sent a whole new unit out in hopes that maybe those batteries will stand up longer. Kudos to him, but so far, not impressed with the inconsistency of the product...some cartridges fit so loose that you are sucking air and it falls right off. *fingers crossed for the kissbox* Hope you find something better as well. Eciggies are a healthy smoker's dream, please don't give up, just find something better. I noticed that a lot of esmoker's are also collectors! I think it is because every unit has it's good and bad points. You know what though, you can try purchasing diff atomizers that might fit it as well, but with the small holes at the screw in part will probably still keep it hard on the drag. Who knows. Best of luck! Thanks for reading!
