So I started vaping this week. I have been a PAD smoker for 21 years. The best I have done with my very limited quitting attempts in all of that time was around 36 hours. I received my little Halo G6 kit this past Wednesday night. Thursday I smoked 3 analogs, Friday I had my last one at 8am. So I am now analog free for 48.5 hours a new record for me!

The best part is it hasn't even been that hard. I had a small dizzy spell (likely anxiety) episode yesterday afternoon. I think I was just chain vaping for 2-3 hours in the morning and over did it a bit but no biggie. Feeling really good about this like I have finally found the thing that will work.

Only issue...I have already developed a shopping problem. I have my first mod arriving tomorrow as well as 2 orders from other vendors for juices, tanks, attys, tips, etc. So 3 pending shipments in my first week.... I might develop a serious gadget habit!

Also thanks to everyone here as reading these forums has proved invaluable already. :)

I have also ended up with three orders and now a fourth for some juice from another company. I am thrilled with my cig look-a-like but decided that as a heavy smoker to change up my habits I would need plenty of juice/stronger juice and lots batteries and maybe a bigger juice holder/clearomizer thingey to turn me into a heavy vapor instead.

I started this adventure when I ordered on August 7th and it looks like I am averaging new products every four days. I might look into buying some more juice today so that I can try some more sample sizes from different companies.

I love smoking but have cut down by more than half already. I think as I get dialed in I will be smoking even less. And I haven't even missed my ciggies much since I got the 24 mg juice. I accidentally got 12mg and it wasn't cutting for me so I smoked more shile waiting for my order to come in.

Congrats on your success.

Welcome & congrats on getting through a hurdle, let the mailman stalking begin.........;)

Indeed! I am more of a tracking information stalker myself. But thankfully I work for an online retailer so it isn't noticed when I spend a large part of my day spam refreshing the tracking pages on FedEx/UPS/USPS all at the same time!

I started out like you. I kept smoking and vaping at first. Then one day i fired up an cig, took a puff and realized I didn't like it any more. I thought I would miss smoking but with all the flavors to vape, i can change what I'm vaping all the time.
Been cig free since 6-3-12 and loving it. When you get the right set up(juice, cart, bat or mod) it will be easy.

48 hours is huge. I smoked for 35 years and have been smoke free for a year and a half. Vaping works, keep it up and congrats

Thank you and congrats to you too.

Love the avatar, I'm a huge Groucho fan myself.

48 hrs is a big deal! Congrats! I found that once I got over the 5 day mark, it's been pretty smooth sailing now. There
seems to be the 3-day hump, and the 5-day hump (heard others say the same), so you are halfway there!

And gadgets and fluids, I see it this way, I found something new that works, now I want more "stuff" to go
along with it. Heck, I'm not buying analogs anymore, so this is much more fun.

20+ years at a pack a day. Smoke free for over a year. Started w/ Ego, then Ego Tank, then Reo Mini, then another Reo Mini as a back up, and today ordering a Reo 18490. Juices, ordered tons of 'em. Quickly massed a collection of gadgets, atty's, juices etc. Narrowed it down to Reo's with LR attys and a few different juices.

Weird thing thru all this is that I wanted my daughters to be proud that I had quit smoking. I became a secret vaper! I hid my new habit for about a year, while not hiding it from everyone else. During this time about 5 co-workers saw what I was doing and jumped on the train. Smoke free and vape instead, sign me up!

Decided I was not going to miserable during our extended time in the car on the family vacation, so I called them(my girls) in and told them the secret of my success. They (7 & 12 yrs old) both said, "Oh, that's what that is..." They knew or at least one of them had and they had been talking about it with each other, secretly stalking me.

I have no idea why I felt the need to hide. They are proud, I am proud, and I don't stink anymore according to them.

I wish you continued success and have fun in discovering the right setup for you. For me the Reo took all the "want to smoke" out of my mind. I want to vape! I have vaped everywhere except church. I even vaped while in the jury box.

That's a great story, congrats to you. I have been vaping at work secretly as we have a policy against it (it's retail so they decided it wouldn't be fair for people not on the floor ie offices, warehouse, etc. to get to vape and exclude the people on the store floor), but a quick toot in the stairwell or bathroom where nobody will ever know has been working for me so far.

Now the jury box... that is impressive. Did they object?
