I had 2 days of the blues, days 3 and 4, after switching to vaping. I was just in a foul mood and everything seemed to be the end of the world LOL Then that went away, and I had 2 days of stomach issues (nothing major...just digestive 'issues')

After that I havent had anything major. A few days of my lungs trying to clear themselves...I've been using Adult Acnomel (sulpher based acne cream) to keep any detox-acne away, and that seemed to help.

But within 2 weeks I noticed a huge difference in my lung function - I could actually take a deep breath for the first time in a very long time. My teeth feel amazingly clean. My face is clear. And I went from at least 2 migraines a week, to one this entire month! (today actually, and I have a feeling it's hormone related) Just the fact that I havent been eating motrin like it's candy this month is beyond exciting for me. Well worth the 2 days of being pissy there at first :)

Keep positive, and vape some more lol Seriously, I don't think I put the PV down for the first 2 weeks. I was at a low mg though. I typically have 24mg in the mornings and during stressful times, then vape 8-12mg the rest of the day so I don't overdo the nic. Good luck and keep positive!

I'm finally to the point where analogs don't interest me (one month in, it took that long) but nicotine is not the only addictive substance in analogs, and I feel cravings for...who knows what.

On the depression thing, yeah, I can deffinitly tell that my mood is more sour at times than it used to be, sometimes verging on hopelessness, but I try to focus on the fact that I am no longer involved in what I call "slow motion suicide." (Smoking analogs)

So, knowing I'm not killing myself anymore really helps me cheer up.

I agree with those who said not to rush it. It took me about 6 weeks to switch over completely, but I cut my smoking in half in the first week, and was only smoking 1-2 a day by the time i switched over. I still had to deal with some issues with motivation- I suspect I needed some of the other chemicals in smoke, and i had to find the right nicotine concentration for me. If the nic alone doesn't do it, try supplementing with smokeless options. The point is reducing the harm associated with inhaling smoke. Anything that does that is a win.

Taking my time to switch over made the early days easier, and doesn't make much difference now that I'm almost 6 months smoke free. My need for and tolerance of nicotine is starting to drop. I'd envisioned possibly weaning myself down on purpose, but it may turn out that i don't have to. My body isn't liking the higher nicotine concentrations anymore. go figure.

Give yourself time and be gentle with yourself. the great thing about vaping is that switching from smoking doesn't have to be a painful ordeal.

I have smoked for 30 years - a pack and 1/2 to 2 packs a day. I had no problems at all. I only smoked 1 cig the 1st day and 2 cigs the 2nd day. No problems. I did get the highest nic they had in cartridges. Smoking more cigs a day now cuz I can not figure out where to get more cartridges without spending 13 for 5. That and I had 2 cartons of cigs when I bought my e cig. I love my e cig no more ashes every where.

Hi,

Your not alone, not easy to quit after 20 some years of cigarettes. Last month I just got my first e cig. It was a cheap one that had issues and finally broke. Anyway when using it I only smoked when the battery was dead and it wasn't too hard. Yesterday I ordered a better one with huge battery and am now also having little cravings for a cigarette even though i know it will taste nasty after a day without. I just tell myself how bad they taste and made me feel when battery died on other e cig and it helps. I may try the snuff route myself this time too. 20 years of 2 packs a day, i really really need to quit!
