I got a 901 atty and a drip tip.

This is way better than the cartomizers I was using!

I need a little advice...

How many drops at a time?
How do I know when I need to add more juice?
What do I need to be aware of to keep this atty alive?
Anything else I should know?
How many puffs per load should I expect to get? (e.g., 3 drops = 10-30 puffs)
How about switching flavors? Need to clean, or is it as simple as dripping in a different juice?

I'm in love with dripping too. Much warmer, tastier, and actually neater than messing with cartomizers.

I use 306s but 3 drops is about 5-6 hits.

You can taste the drop off in flavor so drip before it gets metal nasty.

The atty will last longer if you don't let it go dry. It's like a lightbulb though it can go the first day or three months later. vaping it dry is like flipping the switch on and off over and over.

You can switch flavors whenever you want but they will mix. If you don't want that blow out any extra juice and either wash it with hot water(blow it out again) or vape plain VG or something until the old flavor disappears. Some people keep separate attys for different flavor classes.

About once a week I soak my attys in Vodka to clean the gunked up juice out. I usually blow the excess Vodka out, add juice, and vape on.

3-4 on intial drip

How do I know when I need to add more juice?
vapor and flavor will start to diminish

What do I need to be aware of to keep this atty alive?
Let drain every night (battery end up) and clean when the vapor production seems to lessen

Anything else I should know?
When you clean an atty, it will take a drop or 2 more than normal to prime it. You'll taste metal if you don't do this.

How many puffs per load should I expect to get? (e.g., 3 drops = 10-30 puffs)
2-3 drops is anywhere from 3-7 mouthfulls depending upon how long of a draw

You should clean it but you can also purchase straight unflavored vg to use. Walmart (at least ours does) sells wilton's brand in the cake decorating isle or if you have a hobby shop that sells cake decoratinging stuff

Do the premixed nicotine flavors from Mad Vapes need to be cut or diluted before using?
I have the Minthol 18mg 30ml bottle and just noticed that when I drip 2-3 drops in cart it pools faster since & leaks out on cart while using some times. Been using the cart with kit I got last Friday in the mail & have not done anything to it. Also using the same Atomizer as well and it's not really dirty yet. I did like the fact that my battery fresh out of the kit lasted approximately 68 hours before recharging it for the first time. Then only got 2-3 hours out of it after ward's. Would like to eventually make my own menthol & other flavored juice. Would it be cheaper to buy a large bottle of unflavored 36mg juice & then a 5 or 10ml bottle of menthol flavored juice with no nicotine to mix with? or for the minthol flavor should I just get it already made up? What ever is cheaper in the long run.
Thanks for your help
Joe

How you go about changing flavors is a matter of preference...

--Some people do a soak in alcohol to remove the old flavor
--Some people just rinse the atomizer with hot water, but you have to make sure to dry it real well
--Some people vape some unflavored juice through the atomizer to remove the old flavor

Personally, I just move straight from the old flavor to the new flavor without doing anything.
But then my flavors are all somewhat complimentary.

You will have a mix of the old and new flavors for a few drags or more, depending on the flavors involved.
Some stick around longer than others, like cinnamon, menthol, and clove.
But usually within 5 or 6 drags the new flavor takes over.

Some people reserve different atomizers for different flavor families...
--One atomizer for menthols
--One atomizer for cinnamon
--One atomizer for fruit flavors
--One atomizer for tobacco flavors
--One atomizer for candy flavors

I order from madvapes. Their juice is really hit or miss. For example I LOVE MELON EXPLOSION. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. I can't stand their toffee pudding. I notice that their juice is very thin and the nicotine gives you heavy feeling sometimes. It might just be me. What I do is I take a drip to Rite Aid (Walgreens, Walmart, etc) and grab a bottle of Pure VG. I personally use De La Cruz. I add a little bit and it thickens up the juice and takes away the heavy feeling from the nic. I prefer 16mg nic but madvapes only does 18 so this does the trick. Hope it helps! :)

Thanks for posting this.
I just got some 901 attys myself and tried dripping for the first time yesterday. I had pretty much the same questions as you.
I was tired of filling up cartos with juice that turned out to be nasty. I have a huge collection of juice samples and realized I'd go through a hell of a lot of cartos trying them all.
I've notice many flavors are stronger and taste better dripping than they do in a carto.
Happy dripping and thanks again.

I'm almost one month in. I love dripping and just the other day dewicked and debridged my 510 atty. If you like dripping than IMO that is the way to go. Personally, I perceived much greater flavor doing this simple mod. Someone has a how to vid on here, sry to that member for not remembering their screen name.
