Would it also be damaging to low resistance atomizers if they go dry?
If an atomizer gets too hot, the coil can pop, breaking the atomizer.

This is more likely to happen with LR atomizers or with higher voltage vaping.
And if you let an LR atomizer run dry, it is going to get even hotter, and could therefore pop more easily.

On the other hand, dry burns, which is essentially running an atomizer dry on purpose, is a very good way to clean them.
But if using an LR atomizer or high voltage you have to watch the coil closely and not let it get too hot or it could pop.

Another reason to not let an atomizer run dry is that you can possibly bake some of the juice in the mesh that surrounds the coil.
That can lead to airflow restrictions, and/or a burnt taste that you might not be able to get rid of.

That is why you have to rinse out an atomizer before doing a dry burn, to make sure there is no juice left in the mesh.

This is where there are so many questions for me. What is your procedure? Not too lazy to search, but have come across a ton of ways for this. What do you do? Thanks. Right now I am blowing attys out every other day, but have not boiled, or dry burned. My attys have lasted about two months doing this. If I can extend their life great. Just not there yet. Plus understanding the atty and a dry burn...pop.. Close, but do not have the time in yet where I am one with the atty.

I used to blow out my atty every day (helps prevent leaking at night also) and clean in boiling water once a week. But the water wash seemed to decrease my atty life. Now i drip exclusively and blow it out once or twice a week and get much better life from my atty. Not sure if its coincidence, or just the fact that when dripping theres no e-liquid constantly wicking to the atty but mine last much longer with dripping/blowing combo.
