I’m so glad I found you guys (and e-cigs of course). I’ve been reading the ECF for quiet a while but was always a bit hesitant to join (I’m more of a listener than a talker). So today was the day I decided to finally join...So here's how I found out about e-cigs and the ECF. It’s actually a kind of amusing story...wel,l to me at least.

It all started when my uncle came to visit my mom and I several months ago here in Houston. We were both heavy smokers – my mom smoked 2 packs a day (20+ years) and I smoked little cigars (previously I smoked full flavor menthols). Anyway, we’re at a Middle Eastern restaurant and my uncle’s jaw dropped when he noticed how much I was puffing on a hookah. He said we really needed to quit smoking or we would die…yeah yeah, typical talk from a nonsmoker.

Well, about a month later my mom received a package from my uncle. There was a note attached to the package and it stated that we could only open it when we decided to quit smoking. So the package collected dust…

After some consideration my mom and I decided it would be best for both of us, health wise and financially, to quit smoking. So we finally opened the package…. My goodness was “it” gorgeous – an Ed Hardy tattooed e cigarette, one for me one for her. We’re both artistic so the elaborate packaging really swooned us.

The e cigarette became like a pacifier. But after a week or two the one my uncle bought us just wasn’t strong enough (and needed constant charging). So I perused the internet and found this forum. After reading a considerable amount of posts I decided that the “eGo” was a good fit for us. And it was.

Now both of us have absolutely no desire to smoke analogues (last analogue smoked was in May).

Enough of me blabbing. I wanted to let you all know that this forum has given me some great advice. I've already ordered eliquid from several wonderful suppliers (recommended by you guys) and just purchased an eGo-T.

Well I look forward to talking to you all.

Thank you!

Alexis

Hey Alexis! It was really difficult for me to finally jump in and quit. When I decided to, I knew I couldn't do it cold turkey, and lemme tell you... buying an e cig was the best thing i've done this year! yes, it is like a pacifier, and yes, I'm outgrowing my small battery and am already looking for something stronger, but even this tiny battery is so much better than any of my cigarettes. Congratulations on kicking the habit and good luck with vaping! (though I don't think you'll need much since vaping is so much like a portable hookah, smells better, and is so much more fun than cigarettes!)

vape on!
