I bought these pre made coils and 1 out of every 3 breaks when pulsed. Is it me or the coil?

Are they kanthal? How much power are you using and for how long? May be show a picture of one where that happened. May be you're melting them by hitting them too hard.
I think you are pulsing too long....lol... pulse means around 1 - sec. 5 seconds is a little long for pulsing--imo.Yes, they are kanthal. I pulse at 10 w for about 5 seconds and one leg broke. I already threw away the coil so I don't have a pic right now
Unfortunately, in this case, it's you. You're pulsing too long or at too high a wattage. For pulsing, drop the power down to around 2/3 what you vape at, and get all the hot spots out. Pulses, when starting, should be under 2 seconds.
These aren't NR-R-NR coils, are they?

Of course, that just means your performance will be good, right? Break a leg? Get it?

When you're as funny looking as I am, ya gotta...[emoji38]You ALWAYS find the humor in things! What a great trait to have!
I wonder of it is real cheap quality wire is fortunately haven't had that problem even with longer pulses

It's possible but I pulse mine for 4 seconds or so and never had an issue and that's off of my FT bought coilsThat's what I'm thinking. Cheap-o stuff. However, with me, it is very highly likely it's operator error[emoji4]

Over tightening the screws on the atty could cut the legs or make them weak, especially if they break right at the post(s)..just a thought

If you're using pre wound coils they're probably made of cheap metal too.
