I know it's pro"very" but I say Pro"vari" like ferrari. It seems more appropriate.

Right! My vaping buddy and I say it all the time at work. I'm going to get me one of them thar drip tips. Or maybe I'll find an old wig and make one...

they definitely are funny. you wouldn't even need to buy a wig really. there is cheap hair out there even the real human hair is inexpensive if you find the right place. look for extensions that are only about 6in. long. you could probably make several out of real hair for the cost of one from mofauxs. that is, if you are serious about making them. I think they would be awesome! especially for moustache month.

Okay so I got in trouble for saying Pro"VARY" (like ferrari) instead of provery (like variable volt). I figure instead of saying pro"very" we ought to just petition the administrators of the english vernacular to change the pronunciation of Veryable to VARIable. Thus fixing my problem.

I am a new owner of a Provari. A reluctant fanboy... (I'm a marketing specialist, and I've never been so happily sucked into buying something.) That said. Holding a Provari in your hands feels just like Mary must have felt when she first held baby Jesus Except better because Provari's don't cry and soil their swaddling.

How did you guys explain your purchase to your skeptical judging wives?

Thanks.

Ray
First, Provari is not Ferrari.
It's for average vaping, won't support coils under 1.3ohm and won't go over 6v other APV are capable of much greater performance. And have more features such as VW [Variable Watts]
My Bogger Box VV supported a .55 Coil at 3.8V or around 24Watts and 7 Amps. The Provari would have gagged an puked on the .55 Atty.

It simply won't' support the Amps to be considered a performance mod.

If you compare it to a Hummer,BMW,Or Mercedes that's closer.
What is does offer is Rock Solid Reliability, and very durable unit, backed by a 1 year warranty along with Paid Warranty past the 1 Year point.

The excuse that you make to wifee

Honey, I made the decision to spend $200.00 and get a warrantied, Made in America Mod, instead of spending much more in throw away cheap chinese junk with little or no Warranty. I know it seems like a lot but this unit has a reputation for lasting years. I really think I'm saving money by making a big expenditure one time instead of lot's of little expenditures that will add up to more. Also in this recession I really like the idea of supporting an American Company.

You might make a comparison that isn't it better to spend the money one time to get the best. Instead of spending much more over the same period of time in throwaway units

Than make a comparison.
Example Huffy to a Schwinn

I say vi-vee and I used to work at Pet Smart.

Trivial fact: the correct pronunciation for a Betta fish is "Bet-tah" fish; however, due to clueless young PetSmart & PetCo associates, most of the English speaking world now calls it a "Beta" fish.

Lol. We had the Betta fish discussion at work. People kept on saying Beta and I kept saying Betta. Finally my very stubborn boss admitted that I was correct.

As for Provari. I say it like Ferrari, can't help it. That's how it keeps coming out. And...... I'm gonna get my Provari tomorrow!! Woot woot!! Can't wait!! Soooo excited!! :D

If it you say it like it reads, Provari (like the Ferrari) is indeed correct.

If they wanted us to say Pro-very then they should have hyphenated it. Pro-Vari

Next time someone corrects you on YOUR pronunciation ask them how they think they would pronounce it with a fat lip. :)

This is all fine and dandy, but the bigger question is... on which syllable do you accentuate the word?

I have heard both, and the accent on the "Pro" annoys the you know what out of me, but alas... we can't all speak as news reporters (or the Irish for that matter).

Everyone locally here in Utah calls it Pro VA-ARE-EEE.

I believe it to be Pro-VERY. Like variable (hence the Vari in the name of ProVari)....however these same people who say it with a VA-ARE-EEE say variable correctly.... so go figure.

Doesn't matter to me really... but, I refuse to say it like everyone else because I don't think its the right way to pronounce it... so I get funny looks with a usually passive corrective comment like "Yeah, the Pro V-ARE-EEE is a nice mod"

It's kinda like when I cringe when people come up to me and call the iPod Touch, the i-Touch.
