Tripple digits half way to home
I know that this has already been answered before but my eyes are burning from looking at the Computer screen. My Provari is on the way. When I ordered my SB with a kick I also got some "AW p 18500 batteries. RTD site list them as an IC protection built-in Li-ion 1500mah battery. I'm thinking I also ordered a set of AW IMR 18490's from Provape. Will the protected batteries work in the Provari? Will they void the Warranty? I was really counting on using them and having 6 batteries to rotate instead of just 2. Please help out an old tired pair of eyes.

I'm sure hoping that the protected batteries will work. I can't see why they wouldn't. I understand they might be a little bit longer but I saw one thread where a member just used a rubber "O" ring to cover the small portion of thread that was exposed. I'd just like some conformation and we sure don't want to void that warranty.

Talk about customer service. I sent an email and got the answer straight from Provape. If you use any battery other than the ones they recommend and any electrical damage occurs from a battery failure. IT WILL NOT BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY! I'm going with nothing but what they suggest. Including brand names. I'm not taking any chances.
AW IMR batteries for me.
Thought I better add, that rep from Provape did not print the "it will not be covered under warranty" in all caps,I did that on my own. I know that some of the other new owners were wondering about the batteries. Actually the response that I received was so professional and polite that I had to read it 3 times before I understood what they were saying. Just wanted to warn the upcoming owners of the Provari to just use what the site suggest, so that you don't void anything.

So. Cal
I have a Efest 18500 in my ProVari and IMO it performs better than an AW. But yes if that were to fail and damage my ProVari, they would not cover it under warranty. So I only use them while my AW's need a charge. I am not sure about the protected battery? I see you got a better answer directly from ProVape. If you ever want to part with your KICK, I am in desperate need of one, or if you know where I can buy one or I have a brand new Zmax V1 I'd give up for one? Have a Themis 18 in the mail and would like a KICK to go with it. Might have to wait until they are back in stock though?

No way I'm getting rid of my kick for my SB. Check out "super T manufactoring. That's where I got mine from. The same people that make the KICKLET. And I still want one of those and a PreciesePlus, and about 100 other mods I can't afford now. I got a vmax and I'll never own another product from smok. Also got one of the Vamos's and I kinda like it. But I'm still getting my PROVARI!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh happy days; Oh happy days.

wow, you really dislike your vmax man? what do you dislike the most about it?

I can only hazard a guess here but now that he has the real thing in his hand the vmax probably pales by comparison. :)

Mind you, I just bought a zmaz version2 through a coop for a backup in the unlikely event that my Provari dies but I cant see using it except in emergencies, especially since I figured out my magic number a long time ago without needing a chip to do it for me :)

I find that kind of funny. I got an acrylimax that I've been using for a little while now, and I got my provari in the mail the other day. So far I think I've only hit the provari about 5 times. In fact it's sitting on my desk and my max is next to me instead. So far I don't notice any difference in performance. Sure it feels way better built, but nothing that makes me want to ditch my max.

I dislike the way the voltage is not regulated. Most every thing I had was LR. To be able to get a more comfortable vape I had to go to HR and even with a 3 ohm carto I couldn't stand anything over 3.5 volts. I just like a cooler vape

yeah I like a cooler vape too. medium voltage, around 3.7 to 4 volts with a 2.5ohm to 3ohm carto for me. However on my eGo or my Bolt or Telescope I like 1.5ohms, but I'd rather be around 2 for the most part. Did you get your Provari in the mail yet TNT? Mine came today. I'm loving this thing. All the cartos and carto tanks that just didn't hit my sweet spot on my other devices, work fantastic on my Provari. I'm in love.

Yep got it and am finally able to sit in a comfy chair and try to enjoy it. New tanks new juice, new life. Oh that reminds me she should be home soon. I haven't seen her since last sunday. Sucks to be on different shifts. She didn't even know if it came in or not. And still don't have a clue to what it is. LOL
