Hello newcomers and patient, friendly experts! I find myself weary of searching for my exact situation on the forum, though I have learned a lot in my few visits here!

When I smoked analogs, it was between 1/2 and 3/4 of a pack of ultra lights per day. I researched e-cigs for about a year and simply got overwhelmed and never "pulled the trigger" to order anything.
One of my family members happened to notice "cig2o" kits in the local redi-mart and picked me up one for my birthday a couple months back. I was instantly in love and quit analogs within a week. After 2 1/2 months of pretending these carts (18mg) will actually last for the "1 cart= 1 pack" claim on the package, and after several defective batteries that lasted about 2 days (and they don't just sell batts at the store, you have to buy the starter kit again), I am quite ready to move on. I had exactly one foray into online cart shopping with vapage.com, which let me try some flavors, but I believe I am ready for non pre-filled carts.

I invite comments, advice, and vendor suggestions. From what I am reading I am leaning toward a 510 path but I welcome your opinion!! Thanks so much for reading! - "Paiz"

Welcome to the forum and congrats!

What do you like/not like about your current pv?

You could get something similiar to your current pv just a better quality pv. If you want another mini, try a 510, KR808.
I've tried both and I like the 510 better, but the KR808 has a big fan base and many people love them. As I'm sure you know, battery life is limited. You average about 1 hour per 100 mah of continous use with a new battery.

If you want something slightly bigger I'd recommend the ego. That's what I use and love it. You can get a Riva from liberty Flights for $29.99. If you purchase boge 2.0 cartomizers, it's a two piece unit like your current pv but with a longer battery life. It's a little more versatile. You can use the atty to drip, use carts/atty, tanks, clearomizers, dual coil cartos, etc.
Price is good, good vape, very versatile.

You can get an e-power that uses regular less expensive batteries. I'm not familiar with them, don't own one so maybe someone else can tell you about them.

A person can't go wrong with a Riva from liberty flights and some Bogelr cartomizers. Good luck and smooth vaping.

You recommend the LR carts for everyone? Is the advantage of LR strictly greater intensity, or are there other length of use or quality advantages as well? Thanks for the advice!

Re 1 carto = 1 pack = that is a bs rebrnader lie

Cig2Go is KR808D-1 the most popular 2-piece model and the hottest slim ecig at a full 3.7v. We usually buy them elsewhere like Vapor4Life and SmokelessImage or the basic manufacturer model, but they are very popular. The current manual batetries range from mostly sealed to totally sealed on the threaded end and are very hard to damage with juice leaks from refilling cartos. I can get a week of use out of a Vapoor4Life WOW carto by keeping it damp with thin clear juices, 20% or less VG, and light clear juices that drop little or no carto-clogging sediment in the stuffing.

510 would be a sideways step and probably a step down in TH. I vape both 510 manuals and KR808D-1 manuals. I like them both. I only recommend manuals - 510 manuals are fully sealed metal on the threaded end so they are safe for refilling cartomizers, safe to use a drip tip on the atomizer. Manuals also make it easier to get a good hit. The standard 510 batteries have short life of 180mah. The long mega xl 510 batteries are 280mah and 128mm long with a carto, same charge as the KR808D-1 that is 120mm long w/ a carto.

If you buy a 510 I recommend Boge standard resistance cartomizers (slim ecigs are not supposed to use hotter LR stuff). I think with the same juice, a 510 gives a moister and larger vapory drag and a KR808D-1 gives a drier less vapory drag with more TH.

Everyone has their own preferences and you will likely be offered many of them. The best advice I can give is to try a few different ones out to see what works best for you. For instance the Ego/Riva/Echo's are very popular and fine kits but they weren't for me. I just prefer the slim battery of the 510 and don't mind changing batteries. I also prefer the SR cartos and I don't need the extra throat hit and warmth of the LR's and prefer a smoother vape. I also LOVE my GLV2 super mini with Ce2's and generally alternate between that and my 510's with Boge SR cartos daily.

There are also a lot of great juice vendors out there and the classifieds section is a great place to pick up a variety of juices at a reasonable cost.

I've got nothing against the slim battery/analog style units .. my first kit was those type .. I just go tired of the constant battery recharging .. as well, I believe my Riva provides a more consistent experience and lasts much much longer ..

The tipping point was when I forgot to bring a spare battery for my slim unit and was drinking / gambling / ..

Heres what I recommend:

From liberty-flights.com (click the 20% discount in upper left)
riva lite kit - 29.99
510 driptip of your choosing - ~$2
5 pack Boge LR (2.0 ohm) cartomizers - $7.99

This lets you try dripping and boge cartomizers, also includes cartridges but cartridges suck.

Start with quality juices, I don't buy bargain juices anymore, not worth it imo except as a backup. I'd recommend pinkspotvapors for non-menthol juices and I'd recommend rawrvapor for menthol juices.

If you like the Boge cartos, you can get 15 for $20 and free shipping @ crystalclearvaping.com

This note is helpful on many levels :) I think I need a longer batt life than I am getting. Thanks!

We started with standard 510 batteries but quickly tired of recharging them constantly. We've moved onto the Riva 510 from LF that several people have suggested and have been very pleased. We bought pretty much the exact same set up that reprisal suggested (lite kit, drip tip, Boge LR cartos) and have found that we much prefer cartos. I can't imagine that you'll find a better price than that to start with and the service from LF was fantastic, we had our kits in just a couple of days.

Thanks for the helpful information. Since others agreed with you I went ahead and ordered this. Here's hoping it's the answer!! Thanks again - Paiz
