I really like the look of those copper vein doors. Let us know how the clear coat job goes. I think when I finally pull the trigger on #2, I might go for copper vein.
I had been talking to Rob about exchanging this Cooper vein door not because of the fading but because when I got it, it was bent didn't close smoothly. He shipped another for Exchange and a kawasaki green door and it's lost in Usps land. I tracked it to find they left a notice at 9:29***PM on 2/23 which they did not and then delivered on 2/24.....which they did not..... total B/S..... So when I finally do get the new delivery I'll let you guys know how the clear coat comes out.......
MORE IMPORTANTLY DOES ANYONE KNOW IF I'M SUPPOSED TO USE AN O RING WITH NEW 510.....LEAKAGE FROM TOP DELRIN COVER ON TO MY BATTERY.....?

Fulam! I hates usps land somfin fierce! Very nice mod man, I hope delivery happens soon for ya

I cant help you with your oring delema, I have only had a new 510 for a couple of days I do not experience any leakage without an oring
Quick pop off the delrin take a looksie..... I didn't realize it till my battery got wet but I'm sure it was happening before that...... The package is M.I.A..... Rob took a hit (for now), he said "it" happens once In awhile.... He said it's more of a headache to trace it and fill out forms..... So, he said I'm lucky that it's a shipping day..... And he already sent me a new package w/ tracking number!

Talked to Rob on the phone..... not an employee, not recorded message, he picked up on the 2nd ring!!!!.....

WHAT A GREAT GUY!! I can proudly say that I bought from the right company!
IF IT SHOWS UP LATER ON , I WILL RETURN IT back to the porcupine factory! I'll be returning this c/v door, once I get the new one....

** If you're out there Rob thank you soo much for not even questioning it..... Just great customer service..... As I've always heard about you, now I know it! **

I removed the bottle & tube. Removed the cover and mine is dryer than a popcorn fart but im only a few days into using this grand. Sorry I cant be of more help. I would suggest talking to the master mod man about the problem since he will likely have a correct answer for you.

I venture to guess that the leak is coming from higher up and running down the positive lever onto your battery. I would expect its from the seals in the 510 and that a oring between the atty and mod would not help...but im guessing. Robs your guy

Yeah bro, I gets no juice from mine with the new 510 (or the "Rob" built old 510) and don't run any orings. The only time this has happened to me:

When I rebuilt the old 510s

If I over squonk

If I vape in sub 30 degree temps then bring the mod inside (or pocket it outside). Why? Because I believe that the force and time needed to squonk syrupy nearly 100% VG when it's that cold builds up pressure on the bottle so when it gets warm and the VG thins the pressure built up forces it into the atty and out the airs slots.

But I get no noticeable juice around the base of any of my attys :)

Well it's been below freezing here in Chicago and I am in and out so? I've taken the delrin plate out twice now and the feed tube isn't leaking but the delrin is saturated to the point that it's seeping into /onto my battery!!! I must be either over squonking or the seal inside the 510 is broken.... Although I didn't use my VVG everyday when I did use it I also never had any leaking issues so..... oh well, I'm gonna have to just ease up on the sqounker and keep my eye on it...... Pee-sing me-hoff because I have to keep reapplying deoxit to the positive and battery ends! Rebuilding the nuppin w/twisted right now..., well not right now I'm typing....

I dont think its coming from the 510 there is a simple test to find out . Fill your bottle with water place your finger over the 510 connection to make a seal . Press the bottle if there is a leak it will show it self quickly
Right on...... I'll try that now.... I had to take it apart again!
I'm also going to try another atty to to see if it's me over sqounkin the nuppin?

Thanks Rob! I'll let you know......

Do you think I need to use an oring with the new 510..... Or does that defeat the purpose of the adjustable 510 due to the ability to arrange your afc

One last question Rob.... With the new 510 connection on the grand..... Is the tube meant be pushed UP TO the delrin OR pushed all the way up THROUGH the delrin cover? I watched superxdrifter's video on it he pushes it to not through....The tube was in the delrin when I got it but I don't know if it went all the up to the top because I had to pull it off first to remove the cover.

The tube no longer needs to be pushed all the way up
