I love my new hobby!

Hi all! I am fairly new to the whole vaping world. A friend of mine showed me his ego and I fell in love. I was a smoker for 20+ years, I quit for 2 years and started back up again when my dad got sick. I decided to buy an ego too, no real plans to quit smoking I just liked the idea of not having to get up to do it. Not to mention you can't really get flavored cigs. I got my ego c5 at the beginning of December and I couldn't be happier. I still smoke occasionally but I honestly prefer to vape.
I think I may have gone a little crazy with the purchases though. I am anxiously awaiting my sample pack from AIV! I have heard so many wonderful things about their juice that I went back this evening and ordered two giant bottles. I figure by the time I run out of all 15 samples those should be on their way. I also ordered an ego spinner 1300 mah to go with my c5. I don't really know what everything is yet. I am not brave enough to try anything but a clearomizer just yet. I do know that banana is a no no. Found that out the hard way. Research 1st! That is how I found all of you wonderful vapors! So...Howdy yall. Any advice would be well received.

No real advice since you seem well on your way. Try a bunch of different things to see what you like.

Glad you joined into our vapping discussion at ECF. Really nice group of very helpful people here, I have found.
I will second that, I too love Vapping and all the wonderful things that have come from switching from ciggys.
Yes, it is a new hobby- and there is so much to see and learn ( and buy !) But also, for me it is also a new lifestyle too.
I was a 40+ year, 2 PAD 'burro red' man, now - I am a Vaper !
I will do, and spend whatever it takes to remain a Vaper.
For all of this- We will live a much longer, happier life.

I tell you what. Very sobering actually typing that I have been a smoker for over 20 years. I never really thought of it in those terms. I will not be looking back, now to find a way to buy everything I want!

I doubt you are the first to go a little crazy in the begining.....hell I'm over 3 yrs. in and I have my moments
Juice lasts up to 2 yrs. so if you try a juice and you don't like it at first...put it aside and come back to it later.

Your right down the street from me.......if you ever run out give a holler : )

I was wondering about that. I think I have some pretty good "bases". They aren't spectacular by themselves but they seem to mix well with other things. Thanks for the warm welcome. Can I ask what the difference is in the voltage though. I hear the higher the better but I don't know why.

If you want to venture to a higher voltage I would suggest a Ego-C Twist.......cheap enough to get you going. Tends to hit the throat a bit harder When you start vaping all day every day....which you will sometimes you need a extra kick in the throat.

I just bought a Spinner? Kind of an impulse buy, haha. I heard that a higher voltage goes better with some juices? I have no idea, I just do what I'm told. I pretty much don't put mine down when I am at home or in the car. I lowered my nic level in my new stuff, hoping that will keep the headaches and insomnia away. I think it's because I chain vape while at the computer or I need a vacation. I see you are in Virginia too? Where abouts if you don't mind me asking?

You need to drink lots of water when you vape!!!!!!! Can't stress that enough...you will dehydrate. And try to put it down 1/2 hr. to 1 hr. before lights out.

Can't go back- so, no sense looking back.
Funny thing I noticed changing the stuff in my pants pockets the other day, I wasn't carrying a lighter.
Can't remember the last time I didn't have one in my pocket.
Don't need one now.

As for purchasing Vapping supplies and stuff- dont even worry about it, it's all for the good of you !
Third week in, I got into DIY juices...and an eVic PV, so I'm really committed to this now- no going back.

Congrats on entering the world of vaping. The Spinner you bought should be fine to play around with variable voltage. And the 1300 mah should last longer than any ego twist, which at most has 1100 mah. I have been able to get 12 - 14 hours of use from my Spinner, vaping moderately, and using a Vivi Nova with a 2.8 ohm head. I know this may sound a little confusing, but you should be able to get some good battery life out of the Spinner.

As for high voltage = better taste, that would be more of an objective thing. The beauty with the variable voltage, you can fine tune the taste to your liking.

Welcome mrsdeli! I have a hobby buddy and we tease each other about our obsessions and our other friends think we are freaks as we giggle excitedly on "vape mail" days, speak in our weird language of specific terms and acronyms and talk in detail about voltage, power, resistance and current. They just leave the room when we bring out the syringes, butane torches and sheets of stainless steel mesh (wick and coil rebuilding days). It is a REALLY FUN way to not smoke!!

i would have to say its an obsession.i have only been vaping for 3 months now and i think i spent more on this stuff then i did when i smoked.lol but its for the good.started with a smok tek simple kit.then i made a box mod from mad vapes.then it went to making my own juice.then my last order i got today in the mail was a shiny new vamo and a phoenix clone atomizer so i should be set until i find another site with a too good of a deal to pass up on
