I may be allergic to PG liquids

I've noticed in the last few weeks that there is an unsightly red rash under my right eye. There is one under my left eye as well but not as noticable. I have been vaping for about 4-5 months now and perhaps never really noticed before because I do have red cheeks (particularly during the cold winter months) but upon closer inspection it's definitely a rash of some sort. I also have some red marks on my hands.

Reading about it, it's possible that I'm allergic to PG juice although there are other factors to consider such as the strength of the liquids I've been using (24mg Virginia) and that I've been using cartomisers on and off that have sometimes been lying there for months and have been filled infrequently with various sample liquids I've bought over that time.

I've already thrown away the old cartomisers and stopped vaping the 24mg liquid but I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good VG liquids from a UK vendor since (the excellent) Vape Escape only seem to sell PG/VG mixes.

I was also wondering if anyone else had been through the same thing and what they did to address the problem. Perhaps even suggesting some kind of skin moisturiser for men that could help.

All replies will be appreciated.

I know Bobas bounty from this website is very good. Thing is, it's in the USA and orders would take forever BUT I still think they ship internationally(i think). Here is a link to there website

Alien Visions E-Juice

Otherwise I know for sure that there are other vendors in the UK that sell AVE boba's bounty e juice. I dont know any off the top of my head. Here let me do some digging quick and I will get back at you. One sec

You may want to see a dermatologist to rule anything out not connected to vaping, 4 to 5 months, it seems that you would have noticed sooner? Can't help with UK suppliers but have you tried contacting them to see if they could do VG only?
Lastly, my brother swears by Bag Balm, especially for his hands. It's just an udder cream used for cows and you can get it at most feed stores.

The Vendors that sell Boba's Bounty are All Out of Stock.
It's by far the fast sell out Ever. If you do happen to find it, don't tell just buy. Shhhhh!

If you want 100% VG VapeEscape, Liberty Flights, VapourWorld, UK-Eliquids in fact all our Vendors sell it.
Have a look at Chrissies List of UK Vendors and Discount Codes for up to date info and offers.

All hail to Bag Balm ! I use it all the time. It's always hot and humid here.

I'm not ruling anything out and I do plan on seeing a dermatologist but my symptoms are consistent with others who claim to be allergic to PG liquids. I think a week or so vaping only VG liquids would be a good idea at this point anyway.

Ben, the owner of Alien Visions (makers of Boba's Bounty) is PG-intolerant, so all of their juices are either 100% VG or 90% VG/ 10% PG.

I have some mild PG intolerance as well (I seem to get rashes from high-PG liquids), so I exclusively vape 90%+ VG liquids. If you're like me, your symptoms should clear up within a week of avoiding the PG stuff.

Many vendors here in the US have all-VG options when ordering juices, like Juicy Vapor (for all 900 flavors or whatever it is their up to now :p), Vaperite, Virgin Vapor, etc. I believe most of them will ship across the pond.

Rash under your eyes? hhhmmmm....perhaps you may have gotten some stray juice on your fingers before you rubbed under your eyes? The nicotene in the e juice can cause a rash. I hope I'm not stating the obvious here, but make sure you wash your hands really good. When I first started vaping I got a rash under one arm. I took a couple of antihistimines and the rash is going away.....just thinking out loud.

Could it be perhaps dehydration? I had pretty severe dehydration on my forehead and below my eyes when I began vaping. I sill have skin more dry than I care for. I recently searched ECF to see if posters comments showed a tendency of either PG or VG causing more dehydration than the other. I couldn't make a determination from what I observed.

I ordered some VG liquids from Liberty Flights last night. I've been smoking analogs all day instead of vaping. Hopefully the liquids should arrive in next few days.

To my knowledge I've been careful enough. If I even think that my skin has been exposed to the liquid then I wash my hands. The back of my hands have small rashes but the inside of them are normal.

Interesting. My forehead is kind of flaky (and it's defintely not from my hair) too which I don't think I've mentioned so far.

I drink plenty of water in work but tend to vape with coffee or fizzy drinks and rarely drink water at home.

Are there red marks under your eyes?

I'm not currently experiencing red marks under my eyes, but there were dry patches early on in my vaping experience. Also, my forehead was very dry/scaly. At present I have some slight forehead dryness and significant ear dryness and itching at times. For other reasons, perhaps age related, I'm trying to keep my liquid intake moderate. I've cut out almost all caffeine.
