I was just reading about that. I really like the way to don't have to add all the little wheels like the xtar. I was curious about the charging times though. I just read about how the charging time's are different depending on which batteries are in which port. That's kind of why I'm posting. To find out what works good/better with our ecf crowd.

Oh, here's the link I found about that write up...

I like everything about the xtar except those wheels.

I'm right there with ya on those spacers...
I have the Xtar charger as well.
The Nitecore charger probably won't charge a pair of 18650's faster than your current charger, but it looks to be more convenient for multiple battery types.

I plan on getting one as my next charger unless Xtar or Pila come out with a better option.

Ok, so guess it's down to the Xtar or Nitecore.

Anyone have a comparison between the two?

They should probably perform similarly.
The Xtar charger comes with 6 spacers.
You will need to use spacers for any battery other than an 18650.
That would be my deciding factor....

Your current charger would probably still be the fastest charger.

I wonder which one is faster...?

I think that would depend on how many batteries you need to charge at once.
Really the only batteries you would want to charge at a higher rate than these chargers offer would be your 18650's.

I believe ( could be wrong on this) the Xtar has 3 banks @ 600 mAh and the Nitecore has 2 @ 750 mAh.
That's not the whole story though.
They both will throttle down at some point not giving a full power charge all the way to the end.

Either way, if you have some 18650's that need really charged fast just drop them in your WP2-II.
I watched the clock on mine a couple of days ago and charged a pair of new Panasonic CGR18650CH's from 3.64V to 4.22V in 2:45 hrs.

Review of Charger Xtar WP6 II

Review of Charger SysMax/NiteCore i4 V2

I wonder which one is faster...?

Both are going to be relatively slow. xbassman is correct in that the Xtar has 3 channels @ 600mA and the NiteCore has 2 @ 750mA. The way that they handle 2 batteries in one channel is different, but it will significantly increase charge time if both slot in the channel are occupied.

My suggestion: pick up another WP2-II. Then you'll have 4 slots, fast charging, and the ability to setup one for short batteries and one for 18650's
