I need a carto fillin' chemistry lesson.

So, I honestly lack even a rudimentary understanding of chemistry I want to start filling my own cartos and since my supply is dwindling while I wait for my order to arrive, I decided to fill a blank and give it a shot. Problem is I only have a bottle of Wowboy 11mg, and a small bottle of Nuport 0mg that came as a freebie with my last order (thanx V4L). I did 10 drops Nuport, Taryn Spin, 10 drops Wowboy, Spin, and 10 drops Nuport, Spin.

Question is: does this lower the Wowboy nic level from 11mg, or does the fact that I mixed it with Nuport 0mg not make a difference? I want to know cause I ordered some lower nic level Wowboy juices and I don't want to eat the cost of that 11mg bottle.

Wowboy and Nuport mixed tastes excellent BTW.

Sorry jm....yes it does....if you mix 11mg with 0mg at 2:1, you have decreased your mg by 1/3. But you may not really notice the difference.

oops...just reread your post...if you went 2:1 with 0mg:11mg, you have decreased it by 2/3.......

basically you just reduced the nicotine level by 2/3. there's 11mg per ml in the WOWBoy, 0 nic per ml in the Nuport. so you'll end up with ~4mg nic mix

Yup ....2/3 times 11mg =3.7mg approx.

The problem here is that the juice should really be mixed before filling. With the 3 separate fills and spins you can't be sure that the last fill was accurate. If there was excess for example and it spun out it changes the percentage. I assume this was a CoolCart. I've never gotten 30 drops in a CoolCart myself. 25 is about the limit I go for.

i've only tried mixing one time so far...did it in a "condom" cap (that just sounds bad no matter how you say it...) might i add...it was awful, my ratio of distilled water, VG & WOW 555 VG musta been waaaay off lol

How do you mix before filling?

drip the stuff into a container (such as the "condom" cap) and mix (use a toothpick or something to stir...OR cover the ends and shake) then drip into the carto.

For small quantites (1 fill at a time) you could do it in a condom.

I've only mixed once and I used an empty 30ml bottle. I filled it 1/2 way with 36mg and 1/2 with 0mg and then I had 30ml of 18mg.

i'm hoping to free up a 30ml bottle to mix with...i think that would make it easier than using the condom for mixing...

A lot of people just pop the droppers off of smaller bottles they get and mix the juice in the bottles. If you have a syringe or medicine dropper any small container will do. I have some travel bottles that another company sent to me with the larger bottles I ordered so I use use those.

yup i'm just really getting started with vaping so i don't have much to spare as far as the bottles go i suppose i could use an old pill bottle but that would be kinda awkward. i have some 11mg Kamel in a 30ml size that i'm working on atm. once it's gone i'll be using it for mixing (i have a couple of smaller bottles of stuff from puresmoker that a coworker gave me...if all menthol tastes like that i'll never use menthol LOL)
