I found some unprotected batteries on puresmoker and they are aw 14500 and are orange, look just like the one recommended but they say li-ion so i will pass. The good news is i just took my first vape ever. I got some protected aw 14500's and a lr 510 atty with 11mg juice, for someone who has never tried any e cig I feel like the reo mini is pretty easy to use. So far it has lived up to the hype.

They are using Li-Ion as a generic term. That is the correct battery, but they are out of stock (doesn't show unless you try to add it to your cart)

a couple nights ago i added two to the cart and they were not out of stock. Ill keep looking. Thanks for the info though for now on does aw make li-ion batteries that are bad. Or all the orange aw ones good? Im sorry its just that i am brand spanking new to this. The reo is my first ecig ever.

AW makes excellent batteries. They make high drain 14500 (the red AW IMR Li-Mn) and protected Li-Ion (the black ones). The AW IMR's are the best choice for the Mini. The AW protected Li-Ion's are second best. Read this post. It is somewhat technical, but explains it well. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ecf-library/129569-rechargeable-batteries.html

AW IMR high drain (red wrapper) are your 1st choice. Get a few when they become available again.

AW Protected Li-ion (black w/ silver wrapper) are very good lithium ion batteries and fine to use in your Reo. Currently available from many online vendors.

I just saw BDL IMR14500 High Drain Batteries....How do these compare to the AW IMR 14500's???

BDLs work worse than the protected TF/UF batteries. You'd be better off with the protected AW 14500 750mah. This is, of course, only my opinion. :)

*edit...Glad you have some coming. RIMP rocks!!:D

Does anyone use high drain 18650's? I see most of the are only 1600mAh. I have the aw black 17650's at 1600mah and am going to buy 18650's for my GRAND. I like lr306 and 510's... Ant suggestions???

The AW IMR 18650 (red wrapper) are high drain batteries and the ones recommended by Rob. Most of us use them.

Don't worry about the 1600 mAh rating. They perform very well.
