I have a Pila myself and find the spacers I bought with it to be a PITA. But its a great charger. Looks like its down to 2 most common, the WP2 & TR-001. Does anyone have one of each and how is the quality compared to each other?

i had a tr-001 and it was crap never worked right my wp2 works great though thats why i recommend it it can charge at 500ma or 1000ma

I have a TR-001 as well. It's branded with Tenergy and not Trustfire, but I have no reason to believe it's any different from the Trustfire TR-001, which is available all over the dang place. It has never failed me, it is more convenient to use than my Pila since it accepts virtually ALL 3.7 volt lithium ion battery sizes, and it always charges them up to 4.20 volts. Sometimes up to 4.23 volts. My Pila does charge batteries faster but the smaller batteries typically terminate charging at 4.15 volts.

That's just my experience. Maybe Tenergy does better QC screening before they slap their logo on them.

Two extra benefits to the Xtar WPII 2 -- 1) It comes with a car lighter adapter so it's useful when traveling or camping or whatever (tr-001 is capable of using a car adapter but doesn't come with one)... 2) You can charge your cell phone with it when away from power - pop in a charged battery, slide the switch to position 0, plug in your USB adapter for your phone and charge it up.

Even my least expensive chargers (HG-1210W and the tr-001 for instance) satisfy my needs, but I'm really partial to the Xtars. -- And, I'm really fond of RTD (as linked in Sternos' post). I had a small issue once and he took care of it quickly and in the most friendly manner. Great customer service and very good prices.

Really, no reason for me to respond to this thread with any specifics- all that I would have said has been said above...
So, the verdict from me is Randy at RTD and Xtar...because I second that he's upstanding and goes out of his way and that this charger is the best one I've used and I've had several...
