Not sure about the C version, but one of the things about the Ego-T-As I didn't like was the Whistle tips. The whistle tips really cool the vapor down by sending it though the extra plastic chamber in the tip. Perhaps that is what you liked.

If you vape at too low of a wattage you'll get less vaper along with coolness. The Ego-Ts had tons of vapor only cool and somewhat muted flavor. Unfortunately other that coming with the bigger 510 eGo type B drip tip attys they don't seem to sell them as just drip tips. Longer drips would definitely help a bit. The Cherry Vape Universal is pretty long if you use it on its own and has a large opening. With another tip attached it's even longer, though borders on ridiculously long.

Hi Merlin. No you are not doomed. Slap that 2.8 head on the Vivi nova, and you will be able to adjust it back to near where you like. Also in your Carto tank if you use a 3Ω boge rather than a 2Ω version you should find that same cooler vape that you are accustomed to with the "c" equipment. Its all in what wattage level you prefer. Heres how to figure it all out. Normally the eGo C has a standard resistance between 2.2-1.8Ω. On standard Joye eGo voltage you are at 3.4v regulated. This brings your normal power(wattage) between 5.5- 6.5watts. If you are diggin it, then aim your target output toward those numbers. This is my favorite calculator for alot of reasons http://www.the12volt.com/ohm/ohmslawcalculators.asp It is very versatile, just go to what you are looking to find out, enter the numbers and push = it will do all the grunt work for you. We all cant vape at 15watts, so why should we. Good Luck. Happy Vaping.

Excellent calculator - thanks for the explanation and the link.

Hi Again Merlin, After doing som more reading through your responses, I will ask you to be certain you have your mod set for RMS rather than AVG. This is frrom healthcabin, and in the product description.

The product can switch from RMS status to AVG status easily.(Graphic instruction)

Keep pressing either of mini buttons more than 10sec until LCD screen displays N01 or N02. If you see N01, it means that AVG starts. If you see N02, it means RMS starts.

If you want to switch the status, loose the mini button and keep pressing it more than 10sec until LCD screen displays N02 or N01.

you can switch from RMS to AVG easily by keeping pressing mini button over 10 seconds.

Warning:
When the eGo APV works at AVG status, the product may produce much stronger power on the same atomizer than working at RMS status. It will likely damage your atomizers greatly.

So we strongly do suggest you to use only RMS status, because RMS status can perform very well.

Please do NOT try AVG status if you are not a veteran.

So If you can fiddle and change it to the Rms setting this may be the reason for a large majority of your woes. Hope that helps. You will find that Just right for you.

I am using the EGO APV V2 a.k.a Vamo . It is an amazing solid device with great functions.

Make sure that the Vamo is set to RMS because the Vavg setting will give a higher actual voltage than what the voltage number indicates.

Press either small button for 10 seconds and make sure that it displays N02. If it displays N01 it will be much hotter.

I hope this helps, it can't hurt to check anyway.

Enjoy!

Yes. Reading through the thread I have wondered the same thing. if you are in the AVG mode - which is no. 1 on the eGo APV (or Vamo) it will be hitting higher than what the display says.
So - hold down one of the mini buttons for 10 seconds until either no 1 or no 2 shows. If it shows no. 2 it means its just changed to no. 2. Leave it at no. 2 because that's the accurate mode, the RMS.

Secondly, instead of worrying about what volts you are at, with what ohms, make use of the watts mode. Start low at 3 watts and adjust up until you have it how you like. To change from volts to watts hold both mini buttons down at the same time.

This pv shouldn't be constantly giving a too warm vape, in either volts or watts mode. I have one, and when in RMS you can go from a very cool vape to a very warm one, depending on what you like.

I think your issue here may be that you haven't fully understood the pv. There are threads in the APV forum where owners have discussed how to use it.

Thanks all. Mode was in AVG mode

I switched it to RMS mode and holy hell, I am getting a cooler vape. Still tinkering with it and diffferent juices and also took kiwis advice and using W instead of V.

Just to clarify, I never blamed the device, it is amazing. It was my newbie status. I have def got a better understanding through this thread that alot depends on the resistance of the delivery (Clearo, head etc) not the mod.

Now I need to find something that will give me a tighter draw as this drip tip/boge cartomizer in the Triple V polypro tank is giving a draw that has too much air

Thanks for your patience all. I will post updates

Great Merlin. I'm glad you're able to enjoy it now. I'm vaping with mine at the moment. We all have our learning curves. ;)
Did I tell you about trying to vape my mod with no battery in it....
