Ugh.
Usually I'm the one helping folks with math problems (I have a brother several states away that only calls when he needs help with his son's math homework, LOL).... but for the life of me I can't get my head around this.

I mixed up the following (separately):

VZ SC Green Tea @ 4.5% + Tart & Sour @1%
VZ SC Peach @ 3.5% + T&S @ 1%
VZ SC Lemon @3.5% + T&S @ 1%
VZ SC Dragonfruit @3.5% + T&S @ 1%

Then later on, I mixed:

2.5ml Green Tea
1ml Peach
1ml Lemon
0.5ml Dragonfruit

And I love it! But I can't seem to wrap my head around how to work backwards to figure out the percentages of each flavoring in the final mix. Granted, I could always make some amount that is a multiple of 5ml (the original mixed together amount) and multiply the drops, but I want to know how to work backwards to get the final recipe percentages.

Help, please! :)

I think this is what you're asking-

2.5 Green Tea + 1 Peach + 1 Lemon + 1 Dragonfruit = 5 ml.

Green Tea = 2.5/5 = .50 = 50% (Divide the amount (2.5) by the total (5), which equals .5 or 50%)
1 Peach = 1/5 = .20 = 20%
1 Lemon = 1/5 = .20 = 20%
1 Dragonfruit = 1/5 = .20 - 20%

So that's the breakdown of just the flavors. Let's say you wanted to mix a batch using these flavors, so that the flavors equal 7% of the total batch.

So a 30 ml batch would require 2.1 ml of this flavor mixture. (30 X .07 = 2.1)

Then you figure out the flavor breakdown:

Green Tea = 50% of 2.1 = 1.05 ml
Peach = 20% of 2.1 = .42 ml
Lemon = 20% of 2.1 = .42 ml
Dragonfruit = 20% of 2.1 = .42 ml

Well, sorta...

I'm trying to figure out the % of flavorings in the final mix. Say, if I wanted to mix up 30ml of the final juice, how much % - or drops, since that's usually the way VZ SC flavorings are measured - in my 30ml base is each flavoring? I'm assuming the final amount of flavoring is around 3.75% or so.

If it helps (or matters), the VZ SC flavors are (roughly) 1.5 drops per ml for 3.5%, 2 drops per ml for 4.5%.

The last flavor (DragonFruit) should be 1/10 = .10% All other calculations are correct

To find this, you have to know what the original mix was (i.e. what was the total bottle size you made the first time around?)

Example - I'll assume it was a 30ml bottle.

5ml of flavor = 30ml bottle = 17% (rounded from 16.67)

Mixing Calculations

To determine the percentage to add in to a new bottle, divide each flavor by 17%.

Green Tea = 8.5% (17 / 50)
Peach = 3.4% (17 / 20)
Lemon = 3.4% (17 / 20)
Dragonfruit = 1.7% (17 / 10);

Of course, if you mixed more/less than 30ml the total percentage will be different.

Slight correction to skoot's post above (Dragon Fruit % correction) and then taking it 1 step further.....
Green Tea - 50%
Peach - 20%
Lemon - 20%
Dragon Fruit - 10%

Now 1 step more: multiply these % times original % to get your final recipe:
Green Tea: 50% x 4.5% = 2.25%
Peach: 20% x 3.5% = 0.7%
Lemon: 20% x 3.5% = 0.7%
Dragon Fruit: 10% x 3.5% = 0.35%

Use same process of multiplying for Tart & Sour, then add the individual %:
Tart & Sour: (Adding 0.5% from Green Tea, 0.2% from Peach, 0.2% from Lemon, 0.1% from Dragon Fruit) = 1%

THIS! Thank you!

@ skoot & blackHelix - I think maybe I wasn't too clear in my original post. The 5ml I mixed up of all four flavors was of vapeable juice, not the flavorings by themselves. So 5ml *was* the final amount of the first batch I made, with individual flavors mixed at 3.5-4.5% each. Thank you for your help, tho! :)
