Just a thought. Have you tried dripping? I know you say you can't carry around bottles but the bottle I use hold only about 3.2ml of liquid so it is quite small. I just pull of the mouth piece "no stuffing in it" and drip anywhere between 1 and 3 drops on the atty depending on how long i want it to last. I find it's much cheaper then the carts. I purchased a drip tip awhile back and all i buy now is liquid. no carts.

Actually, I have high hopes for this one. I ordered it a couple of days ago. I hate messing with cartridges, love cartomizers, but am looking for better lasting batteries and longer lasting cartomizers. We shall see.

Make a tube feed box mod (2AA battery box) for about 30 bucks.....

Mine uses a 3ml bottle and it feeds the cart when I draw so there's no need to pump the bottle

I went through somewhat of the same process but I didn't spend nearly as much cash.

I just bought a 510 kit from CigNot for $35. 2 Batteries, 2 Atomizers, 5 Carts. I also ordered 5 prefilled Cartomizers, a few 5ML juices, 10 extra cartridges. That ran me $61 shipped. From MadVapes I bought 50ML 'newport' juice, 10 more carts and a coffee flavored sample pack for $20.

So for $81 I think I'm set for a while. Both companies were helpful and shipped the same day. Haven't got anything yet though as I just bought yesterday.

Marc445:
I'm sure you have received great advice here but I thought I would add my 2 cents worth to the mix.

I've been tobacco analog cigarette free for over a year now. My 1st year anniversary without an analog cigarette was July 7th, 2010. I was also a 2-pack a day, give or take, smoker. Here is how I managed my addiction to cigarettes when I completely switched over to E-cigs completely as well as the best E-cig I've had so far.

First, I began with the Janty Dura-C aka 510 aka Joye 510, etc... The kit I bought lasted a good long while; however, like you the batteries went dead so fast I had to continue to charge them. I had a PCC I used with the 510 (Janty Dura-C & Joye 510). It helped somewhat but not completely. About 2 months ago I was introduced to the Janty Ego (there are knock-offs but the Ego seems to work wonders & the battery life is great; it's available in a Mega E-cig too that has a longer lasting battery. For me, I can get by through the day with 2-3 Ego batteries (aka T-Rex & 1 Knock-off; the other two batteries I have are Ego).

You are most likely purchasing 1 specific nicotine level. I found that my cravings are worse 1st thing in the morning, after meals, and before bed not to mention the fact I vape more if I'm drinking alcohol but then again these were my highest craving times and situations when I was smoking analogs too. The way I was able to control the heavy craving periods of time is to keep two bottles for e-liquids. Please take into consideration that I'm legally blind and cannot read large print or even Braille (I have too much nerve damage in my hands to read Braille). In one bottle of e-liquid, I use felt or small puffy letters located in any craft store or the craft dept in a department store. I add the letters MM for Marshmallow, JP for Juicy Peach, CC for Cotton Candy, VS for Virginia Slims flavor... Now on the second bottle, I add the same letters only I also add a bump dot. Bump dots are available online at places like Independent Living Aids and Maxi-Aids. The bump dots from ILA run anywhere from $2 to $5 plus shipping. About halfway to two-thirds of the way down the page at Maxi-Aids, you can find a variety of bump dots by color, size, and shape for approx $1.50 plus shipping and handling.

I fill one bottle with a specific nicotine dose that is relatively low such as 18mg to 24mg of nicotine. I always add the small felt letters in order for me to know which flavor is in the bottle. Now for the 2nd bottle, I add the same flavor with the small felt letters for me to feel in order to know what flavor I have but I also add a "bump dot." This bump dot lets me know the e-liquid in this particular bottle is higher than the 18-24mg of nicotine. I add my own Smoke Juice a little at a time from the included glass dropper (glass droppers included in 60 & 125ml size bottles) until I reach the desired nicotine strength to calm the cravings down to a dull roar, if you will. In my case, I am attempting to lower my nicotine dependence; I'm not trying to quit but I am trying to cut down. Since you were a 2-pack a day smoker, you are likely experiencing withdrawal symptoms so vaping lower doses during the day then using the increased nic dose at times of highest cravings may help you lower your nicotine dependence too. It's worked for me. On the bottle with the higher Smoke Juice amounts, I add a bump dot. This way I can always tell which bottle has a particular flavor as well as a particular strength of Smoke Juice.

With regards to the Ego/Riva/T-Rex & the knock-off versions, there are special tube-like atomizers with special cartridges that hold something like 2ml of liquid. Also, there are specific cartomizers, which has the atomizer and cartridge for the Ego/Riva/T-Rex & other knock offs that contain a large amount of fluid and since it comes in one piece with the atty & cartridge together, all you need is to keep a few spare on hand. The ONLY downside I find with the mega cartomizer with built-in atomizer is that it is difficult if not impossible to change the filling so the flavors don't cross over into each other when vaping. I've read that some online have been able to successfully remove the filler and replace it but I haven't been so fortunate.

Another option is the drip-tips made for the Ego/Riva/T-Rex models. This way, all you have to do is drip from the bottle directly onto the atomizer to get a nice throat hit and flavor from the liquid. Should you go with the LR atomizers vs the cartomizers w/built-in atty, it is imperative that you keep the atomizer's inside wiring wet at all times or it will burn out the atty. The LR attys don't last as long as the standard 510 or Ego attys but the throat hit, according to many, is much better. The upside of using a drip-tip is that you can top off the atty with a few drops and then wham, you got great vape hit. When you need to put it away, you can remove the drip-tip, replacing it with the cover that goes over the atomizer, which should come in your starter kit. If you can't find it or your model didn't come with one, you can simply place a spare cartridge over the atomizer. If the cartridge has fresh filling, it will catch any liquid remaining in the atomizer so it won't leak.

The Ego/Riva/T-Rex etc... has a case that is available for holding the batteries with the cone and little pockets for tips, e-liquid, cartridges, etc... & even a small square of paper towel. Just make sure you pick up a manual button protector or be sure the batteries are arranged in a specific manner so as the buttons on the batteries aren't pressed in the on position, which will discharge the battery causing it to go dead and requiring a recharge.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the Ego starter kit as well as the T-Rex. I have a spare battery a friend bought for me that is in pink. I wish I had a matching pink cartridge but fiances are so tight now I can't afford the extras... Anyhow, it gave me access to a spare battery as a just-in-case I need it. My daughter gave me a red colored Ego case. It has the word Ego on the front in a type of metal. It has 2 zippers that zip up from either side. It's nice and roomy for no more than I need though I tend to be a bit skittish of running out of what I need so I keep plenty of everything on hand. I worked too hard to kick analog tobacco cigarettes. I don't want to run out of e-cig, e-liquid, cartridges, etc... I have an order out for one of those Luer Bottles but I am not certain as to how they work. I hope it's something that works like a syringe I use at home yet have the ability to hide the syringe end so it will fit in my purse and perhaps even in the e-cig case. BTW, the Ego case doesn't have any chargers or anything inside but they are great all the same. It keeps everything Ego related in one place and that's always nice.

One last thing: If you like more flavor in your e-liquids, check out My Freedom Smokes as well as Good Prophets. Chris from MFS offers an entire section where the e-liquids can be purchased not only in various e-liquid strengths but also with extra flavorings. My personal preferences include the Marshmallow, Cotton Candy, Banana Cream, Juicy Peach, Sweet Apple, & Black Cherry in the fruit flavors and then Virginia Slim flue-cured in the tobacco flavors. Good Prophets offers specials on smaller bottles of various liquids so you can taste flavors to find out if you like them before investing in a larger bottle in case you find you don't care for a flavor.

FYI: After less than a month using strictly e-cigarette vs analog, my doctor was completely baffled because I didn't have the box of Rice Krispy's with gallon of milk in my chest. He checked my lungs about 3-4 times then asked if I had stopped smoking. I showed him the e-cigarette, explained how it worked, and then gave him print-outs from the Auckland University in New Zealand's study on the e-cigarette & liquids as well as articles written by other doctors including pulmonologists. It's been over a year now and the snap, crackle, pop, along with the crackles, franks, and thrills (med terminology for lung sounds of smokers and/or pneumonia patients) are still gone. I can breath better, sense of taste returned so I can enjoy foods & drink better, and I can smell every nuance when passing by perfume shops, food shops, and this one place that makes the best home-made breads and muffins. It's wonderful & well worth the 1-2 weeks I spent coughing up what felt like was a lung but once the crud was out of my lungs,

I felt like a whole new me again or rather the me that was me before I began smoking around 12-13yrs old and then stopped for 2yrs before starting all over again after my 1st husband walked out on me & our child of less than 10mos old. The stress took over and I went back to smoking to handle it. A short time later I was raising a younger brother in his pre-teen years who had a learning disability our parents refused to admit existed but did & it could have caused him to be a high school drop out if he had not received a diagnosis and special help from a teacher who was well schooled on how to teach children with long-time undiagnosed dyslexia. BTW, he did graduate high school and I couldn't have been more proud of him than I was then and even now. He's a responsible, loving, and doting husband and father with a great job even though work is slow due to the economy. He's made a respectful name for himself too.

Best of luck and hope this helps... Increasing the nic levels during highest cravings has done wonders for me as I hope it will for you too.

ive been trying to quit smoking tobacco for about a year now. im a 2 pack a day smoker and have been that way since age 18.

I first got the njoy disposable 2n1. It worked fine for about 2 hours for me before the battery was dead. i figured i needed a 3 piece set, so i bought the e-health set. The cartridges last me about an hour before im throwing liquid on the atomizer.

So, i bought a $150.00 set of cartridges and a set of cigarettes from Fifty-One. They suck. the salesman told me the cartridges will be about two packs worth of cigarettes. they last me two hours.

I cant carry around bottles of liquid, constantly refill the cartridge before my craving is taken care of, and always carry around sets of cartridges and chargers!

vaping is the only way i can not smoke cigarettes. and i know i can spend less than 300$ A WEEK on it someway.

can anyone recommend a good model of cigarette for me? with good battery life? one that i dont need to spend 15$ a day on with cartridges? i saw this one.

ProVape-1

is there anything remotely better? i dont mind spending 500$ on a vaporizer as long as it works well.

You've only spent $300 because you're buying stuff that's wildly overpriced. For under $100 you could very easily have awesome battery life and a huge supply of juice.

I agree that you should check out the eGo. Great little PV, long battery life. You will be topping off cartridges quite a bit.

I do not recommend that you want mega cartomizers. Get used to topping off and using a regular cartridge, then reevaluate whether or not you want to try cartos/mega cartos. There are tradeoffs to all options.

I agree, go with the eGo and some good juice and empty cartomizers, FreedomSmokeUSA has everything you need, they have a 1 800 number, call and talk to Dave and tell him what you need and he will give you HONEST answers and get you set up a lot cheaper then you think.

Yes, big thumbs up on FreedomSmokeUSA as they will answer your questions and they provide some of the most delicious juices you can find.

In brief, get an "eGo" type e-cig which has the larger batteries and that last for hours and hours and hours. The eGo (by Joye or by Riva or others) uses the standard Joye510 model atomizer which is one of the very best you can use.

Buy your own juices and drip them into the atomizer as needed. (Clear the cartridge filter material as needed. The filter can be pulled out with a tweezer, cleaned, dried and pushed back in easily and without damaging anything.)

Note: Get used to carrying around a small bottle of e-juice with you. The little 3ML "sample bottles" work perfectly.
