GUys and girls I really have appreciated the forum and the support to sticking to kicking the habit of stink. So on the advice of my friend (after the greensmoke was cutting it) I purchased a Provari. It has taken my vaping to a level where I could care less even after knocking back a few shots. I purchased a mini REO with a low atty, but the TH and overall satisfaction is just not working. Can anyone offer a box mod with atty that offers the TH and vapor a few degrees about equal to those VV. I'm sticking to the Provari at home, but need something strong, semi compact, and looks less like a personal vibrator. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

What if you get a lanyard for your Provari so you can't lose it at the bar? Oh wait.. You said looks less like a dildo....Don't you want to pick up chicks? :D I think some places have those 5 volt plastic mods (check Mad Vapes) on the cheap. If you can use a LR boge on it and I am reasonably sure you can I think I would go that rout. If you lose it you won't be out as much. I know just how you feel. I sold my other mods and just gave into the Provari love with a 2nd one for back up. I even use it in the pool. That's how Provari addicted I am. Hope this helps. Good luck

Well said Dana,
I did not realinowze the waterproofed provaris, thought I could sit in tube all day enjoying that bliss. So, here is my deal, I was paying at least 15 a pack here (1 a day/ two on the weekends- NYC prices hurt) so the prices for the upscale ones make a horrible twisted sense that I'm getting some kind of deal! I travel a lot, and don't mind spending more, just scared as all heck on it breaking. I travel carryon so space is at premium and can only carry so much, do know of any decent size no VV that will fit the bill? BTW, i know how you feel, my REO is just sitting, and I'm putting a lot of effort in to making my Provari feel special ;-)

Rather than mods you may need a different juice, one with more pg and higher nicotine content.

I was paying that much so had little problem buying upscale. I still suggest the reo mini with a high end LR atty with a eliquid dedicated to throat hit (torgue56 or Poison) you can buy flavor drops to suit your mood. I can't stand the tube personal vibe looks either , but at home still stick with a Provari. For Travel, checkout the ego twist, small enough to palm and enough voltage to get that TH your looking for. BTW the Bauway clearomizers have slightly higher ohm than the stardust allowing you more power.
in NyC, traveling quite anti and feel your pain.

THanks, so more PG and higher NC produces a better TH? Doesn't the PG cause havoc with the Carto's. And how much of a TH does the NC involve?

Nicotine provides about 99% of throat hit. Most find that 24mg nicotine strength eliquid provides good throat hit. There are a significant minority who vape 36mg nicotine strength eliquid, mainly for the TH. PG allows more of the TH from nicotine to come through and VG mutes it. Warmer vapor from higher voltage batteries (4.5 - 5.0 volts) enhances the TH from nicotine.

My Lavatube (as well as your Provari) limits amp draw (and therefore watts) depending on the atty that's attached to it. My kit came with some 1.5ohm carto w/ tank and it doesn't really do as well as I'd like. I just picked up a 3ohm carto w/ tank and it ROCKS at 6V. The heat is what makes the differences in throat hit to me for some reason?

That's the nice thing about the eGo-C Twists...they are not limited but...not sure how that will affect the life of the coils.

The Twist battery is limited. It has a 2.5 amp switch regulator. You can't use 1.5 or 1.7 ohm dual coil cartomizers on it because it will just drop the output down to around 3.3 volts which defeats the purpose.

To be able to use any carto or atty, it's best to have a PV with a 4 amp switch regulator, such as the VV Gripper. There are others in this category as well.
