As some of you may know by now, I am running a fund raiser for Jennifer Cook better known as Moorea of Phiniac.com. You can read about her crisis here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/events-fundraising/323682-one-our-own-needs-our-help.html

This forum probably isn't the correct place to post this but it gets the most traffic and I need to get the word out because the fund raiser ad is not being seen by the members where it currently resides so I hope this post won't get deleted or moved to some obscure place where it won't be seen.

The fund is to raise $16,000 to cover her insurance deductible. She has had 2 lumpectomies and reconstructive surgeries already and is recovering from those surgeries. Then she has up to 7 wks of radiation therapy 5 days a week.

We have had a few large cash donations to GiveForward and lots of smaller, very much appreciated cash donations but most of the money we've raised has come from members and vendors that have donated items/vape gear to sell on the classys where all proceeds go to the fund.

That is the purpose of this post. We only have a few item donations left to sell and we're still about $4000 short of our goal. So I ask you to look through your vape gear for anything that you don't want or use anymore and donate it to the fund. Talk to your friends and see if they have any vape gear to donate and tell them about this fund raiser. You can PM me if you have anything to donate. You will be given recognition for the donation in the ad if you choose. Unfortunately, GiveForward cash donations are not tax deductible.

So in the interest of human decency and in the spirit of charity I hope this post will not be deleted or moved and you all will find it in your hearts to help Jennifer with the financial part of her ordeal. Taking the financial burden off of her will help in her recovery if she doesn't have to stress about paying all these doctor bills that have already exceeded her deductible.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

bump. We need people to donate items for this cause! A woman is in dire need of everyones help and its a life or death situation. If you have anything that has to do with vaping that you don't really use, please let the original poster know as soon as possible! Life or Death! Comfort or Debt!

I really appreciate your enthusiasm in trying to help Jennifer in her time of need but I have to correct one thing. Her cancer is not life threatening. They removed the cancer before it could spread meaning they cut away a large part of one breast so she had to have the other one operated on to even them out. That is the reconstructive surgery she is recovering from and it is very painful. She has been on pain pills for a week, sleeping most of the time but is now slowly trying to get off the pain pills because they cause adverse reactions for her. This has been a terrible ordeal for her but taking the financial burden off is helping with her recovery so I thank you all for keeping this post on the first page for more people to see. Unfortunately I haven't received any donations since posting.

tmcase, my father fell ill and eventually died a painful death of lung cancer when I was in 3rd through 4th grade. It was so traumatic for me and i've had to live my life without a dad. A male growing up without his father is more hard than a lot of people with the luxury of having their father around could begin to imagine. I still remember sitting on the gliding chair on the front porch, asking my dad if he was going to die and leave me forever. He replied "Of course I'm not going to die. They are making me an iron lung as we sit here and I'll always be around for you" and I truly believed him. They cut out one of his lungs and he was told he'd survive, but the cancer spread unnoticed and it eventually killed him. 50% of ALL US SMOKERS WILL DIE of lung cancer or a cancer related death. Breast cancer is no exception. I know how hard it is to be living with a mother that has to live check to check. Being so far in debt that you cannot enjoy the little things that bring pleasure to life is NOT fun and its not OK and if you HATE cancer, and if that is why you are here today, using e-cigarettes and mods, well then you should stand up, we should stand together, and help this girl... Because she is one of US and she is a good person that deserves help, deserves comfort, and deserves hope. Imagine how good it must feel for her to know that we are all standing up and helping her? Screw cancer!
