I need to quit smoking. This stuff is killing me. I am not knowledgeable on E-Cigs and understand that I should search through the forums and find the different types available. The only thing about that is that I will have way to many options, which will delay getting started.

Bottom line is that I smoke 1 pack of Marlboro Lights per day. I don't care if it's flashy or have special flavors. Someone please give me advice on what is a good direction to get started (product?)

Thank you for any advice you guys could give me, I truly do appreciate it.

^^ What he said. Order a bottle of juice or two and you should be set to quit smoking. Plan on buying a couple more atomizers and batteries when you can, but the 510 kit will be enough to give you a great start. Just remember to keep one battery charged while you vape on the other one.

Cignot.com or scroll down to suppliers and they are near the bottom. I'm not saying this is not going to be frustrating at first but at least you see if you like it and expand from there $35. There is also a disposable 510 kit around many of these suppliers sites one is Nhaler.com but I never tried the disposable and the prefilled carts are ehhh ok but much better with your own juice in them.

Joye 510 from Cignot. It Works, Its Cheap and its fast delivery.
Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store.

I bought the Joye 510 NO BOX which includes:

  • 2 atomizers and
  • 2 batteries
  • 5 prefilled carts (Marlboro High)
  • 1 AC charger
Everything you'll need to get started, and all for a reasonable $35+$5 shipping. It's a fantastic starter e-cig. I would also recommend buying empty cartridges and fluid/juice so that you can refill.

Good luck getting started. It's a bit of a hassle during the beginning, as I would know, but once you get the hang of everything and find companies you like you'll be able do it with ease.

IMHO, fork over the extra dollars and get the eGo starter kit instead of the 510. The battery life of the eGo is superior to the 510 batts. By getting the eGo you will save money in the long run because you won't need to buy additional accessories such as xtra 510 batts, a pcc or a usb pass through.

I do believe that cignot also carries the eGo.

Depends on what you're looking to spend.

For a less expensive, entry-level product that most people tend to upgrade from, the 510 is a great model. Battery life is short on them however, but they push consistent voltage to the atomizer from first to last hit, where as other models can drop off and affect your overall experience.

Almost any supplier has a decent 510 starter kit for around 30-40 bucks, depending on supplier, one of the first things is to see if there's a supported supplier near you, since they're all over the world right now.

If you want another option that quite a few folks are swearing by right now, but is a bit more expensive, there's the eGo or tornado (same thing, different catchname) I believe it's also called the excalibur as well. It's pretty much a remodeled 510 to work better. These tend to run 60-90+ for a starter kit (depending on the kits themselves). They use the same 510 atomizer which is desirable (510's are of the widely regarded opinion of producing much better vapor than say a 901 or similar) but the battery life will be around 6-8 hours per charge, which in the long run, is a much more desirable run time.

If you're an adventurous sort, you can dive headfirst into mod style vaporizers. This, however, is something you'd want to research thoroughly since there's always a positive and a negative to them, and some of them require a longer wait time from order to receive as they're custom built.

My advice, start with an eGo/Tornado kit, you won't have to stress about having extra batteries always, won't necessarily want to buy a passthrough 2 days after getting it either for easier power needs. Or if you choose a 510, look for the mega batteries, they last around 3.5-4 hours, as opposed to the 1.5-2 hours the normal 510 batts do.

Anyways, back on track since I hijack my own paragraphs with rambling cowcrap. The eGo/Tornado/Excalibur/etc is in my opinion, a better choice to start with.. I love my 510, don't get me wrong, but I've already ordered a Chuck to move up to.

Ok, I think I may go this route. Any additional stuff I need to get? I don't want to get it and need to order more stuff just a few days later, if you know what I mean.

Well that sucks, I tried to post the link to the deal. Either way its the Joye Ego - Platinium Manual on Cignot's website. I hope this is the Ego that you guys are speaking about.

As far as googling companies, you don't need to. I think it's better to order from the registered companies on the last subforum section here at the ECF forum. From there, each company has a link to their site.
Otherwise, there could be actual stores near you, within driving distance and where you can get a live demonstration perhaps, there is a map here that I found somewhere in this ECF forum, just click on your area of the map:

I prefer the two piece ecigs, I get mine from V4L, that's my favorite, (for me, messing with the hassle and cost of a third piece and also good flavor matters to me).

Everyone says buy the 510 but for a new user do you know how frustrating it is to refill the cartridge every 10 min and search to find the proper flavor only to be dissapointed not to mention flooding the atty overfilling the cart. I would suggest going with the kr808d-1. You pop on a cart and go for the day just make sure to get a charger case so that you can charge one battery while you use the other throw it in your pocket and go. When you find a flavor you like then go with the joye 510 after you have read all about it and how it works. I went with smoke tip for the kr808d-1 since it had a lifetime warrenty on the battery and the cartos are cheap I ordered the variey pack of flavors. Or I hear vapor for life has a kit also that comes with the charger case pluse they have a tobacco sampler of flavors that you can order to start to find your tobacco flavor especially since you are just starting out I am sure you are looking for something that tastes similar to tabacco. They have only 2 parts the cartomizer and the battery if a battery goes out you have a spare if you dont like a carto screw on a new one. With the 510 if you do not like a flavor you have to clean out the cart or the atomizer. I have been doing this for a month and honestly I took the advice and go t a 510 and although i use it a little more now since i have read more about it my smoke tips were always by my side never failed never flooded never had to refill although i refill them now. The cartomizer will last you all day and when they loose flavor screw on a new one it is that simple. The more you read the more you might want to go to a more advanced model such as the 510 after you find a good flavor and commit to the fact that it sucks when your driving and cannot refill your cart or you leave your juice at home. Trust me after hundreds of dollars spent I still pull out my kr808d-1. good vapor dependable and easy with no mess or fuss. I was a pack or more a day or marlboro light smoker also.

That is it, while you are at it don't forget to get xtra juice and at least 1 xtra atty for the eGo

Yeah, that's the eGo.

A few extra atomizers, or cartomizers if you go that route. Never know when you'll get a dud atty.. it's not totally common, and I've not seen much regarding Cignot in that department, but it's always a possibility.

The only other thing to decide is whether you'll end up going cartomizers or what juice you want to try first. The 5 carts with it, will last you anywhere from a few days to a week depending on how much you use your vaporizer. So get some juices to play around with. Start with safe flavors, don't go overboard right off the bat with some of the sweeter ones.. some of them are great, but hard to vape all day and you can end up with a 30ml bottle of grog you don't like/can't use much.

I bought the 510 starter kit as well; ordered more liquid yesterday. I'm in a similar boat, I smoke about a pack of Marlboro Lights a day. I just started with my e-cigs the other day, and I'm slowly trying to replace a couple cigarettes each day with my e-cig.

Good luck -

Yep, have to do whatever pace will work for you. Some people can drop the box and pick up a PV and instantly switch. Then there are normal humans like me where I had to back off from 2pk/day to 1 when I got my 510, then 1/2pk, then 0 over the course of a few weeks.

I'm going to chime in with another recommendation for the KR808D-1.

It is a two piece design - battery and cartomizer. The atomizer is built right into the cartridge, so each new cartridge is a fresh atomizer - no mixing of flavors, no replacing atomizers, just screw on the cartomizer and go. When it's empty, just toss it and put on a new one. You can even refill them, if you want to go that route, but many don't.

They are probably the easiest way to get started on e-cigs, they require a minimum of fussing, and there are lots of suppliers out there, with a wide variety of flavors, battery sizes and colors, lots of options.

My supplier is in my sig - give them a glance if you haven't ordered anything yet, and do a search for "cartomizers" - you'll find lots of others as well.

Yes it is.
ALso get some juice - you will get some with the kit but it may not be to your liking OR you will love it so much you vape it dry really fast. Never be without juices, or a spare atty, or you'll regret it :)
Cignot do some nice juices if you want to save on shipping - the BASIC range is very nice indeed, mostly fruits. The 'joye' and non joye juices are 'just ok' for me, and the ecopure is good but a little pricey.
ALways buy the smallest size bottles (cheapest) so if you dont like the flavors its not a huge money sink. Always keep juice btw, dont throw it away, because your taste changes the further away from cigs you move, and you might like it in a couple of weeks.
There are many great juice suppliers on the forum, Id advise to buy from those first unless you have first hand experience of the vendor.
E Liquid Reviews section has lots of info on juices from other members and thats a good place to get ideas.

there has been alot of good advise in these threads. I think their is another very important thing that you must know when ordering the ejuice. The supplier will mostly likely ask the NIC amount. It would be wise to talk with the supplier and inform him of the ....-log brand you smoke , and he/she sould be able to suggest the NIC amount. If you have already ordered and you find yourself vaping non stop and getting fustrated don't throw your ecig off a cliff ,just order a stronger NIC amount (hopefully you will be able to get the suppliers advise when you order). Please note very strong nic amount will not be good to vape either = you can OD on it in the sense of getting sick . There is info in ECF that can better explain this. Anyway happy vaping. I am one of the lucky ones that quit right away after ~30 years of smoking.
