I need some opinions on what to buy.Limited models available in this country.

Hi Folks..I'm new! (surprise)

I am an expat living in the Philippines.I have been a long time smoker...40+,and am really needing to quit.I have cut down significantly,but even at that,am feeling the effects of a lifetime smoking.

In this country the models available are very limited,and because I live here,it would be advisable perhaps to buy from among what is available rather that buying from the states and having it sent here.

The models available are: (I have not included several that appear cheap).

Joye 510
Janty eGo
Janty Dura
DSE 901
DSE 108

I am guessing that the DSE models might not be a good choice,but among the Joye 510,and the 2 Jantys,what would you recommend as far as reliability is concerned?There is also a Janty mini fogger,but that appears to be a pen style with a special cartridge.

Also,what would you all suggest that I purchase extras of.I had read a post about atomizers going bad.Do these only last for a period of time?What about extra cartridges?

There are ejuices and flavorings available here,but all appear to be of Chinese manufacture?Any concerns about that?

The Joye510 comes with a 180mAh manual battery.If there is an upgrade battery available,should I opt for that?


I don't know what a dripper is (yet) so I won't ask about that..LOL

I would appreciate any advice anyone could share with me.I really need to get going on this tho.Not to appear to be in a hurry,but I feel like I need to get off the analogs pronto.

I would suggest the eGo (thats just me), the battery life is good. Atomizers normally last some time if you don't abuse them. As for flavor, evryone has their different preferences. Order afew different flavors in small quantity and try them out and see which one you like. Just my

Save yourself time and money and purchase the ego right off the bat. Just about everybody I know has started with small 180maH 510's and went to purchase the larger battery within 2 weeks

Well I got a 510 for my first one but battery life is short and if I'm not wrong all the Ego is, is a 510 with a bigger battery so I go along with the rest. An Ego.

I'm luving my Wetbox. It's made by Missy, one of our forum members and an engineer but sold through a couple different ECF suppliers.

However, if you must go with one of those you posted, the Ego is the way to go. I had no qualms with the Ego, I just wanted a liquid feed system. I had three batteries in rotation. I just happened to see the Wetbox about the time that the three batts were on their last legs so I made the jump.

You might consider buying from one of the china sites and having it shipped to you there. There may be a savings on shipping and might be worth it. Prices are less at least.

Definitely the eGo , that should be a great start. And after you spend some quality time with it you can always find a mod that can be shipped your way. Good Luck!

I agree with the Ego and getting extra attomizers cause you never know how long they will last. I have had some dead when I got them and some have lasted over 6 months. If you try the liquids and don't like them, perhaps you can supplies to mix your own liquids in the future.

The eGo all the way. I had a 510 first and battery life was short. The eGo is perfect for me. And get several atomizers....they tend to go first. I don't know...are you allowed to buy American juice over there? (Pardon my ignorance.) If so, get some of that. All of the Chinese juices I've tried are yukky to me. Good luck.

I just ordered a 510 kit and an ego 900mha battery w/cone and ego charger from
Tasty Vapor. They are selling off their existing hardware at good prices and staying
with the juices they are famous for. Tommorrow I'll have some atomic cyinide and
tobacco flavors w/doublers to vape. .. the ego seems to be the the forums favorite.

Thanks so much for all the help folks!Sounds like the eGo will be the one I will pick up.

I contacted the local seller,and all he has left is the silver color.That doesn't much appeal to me,but we will see when he will be restocked.(He probably only had 2 black to begin with,as most retailers of all products here keep very limited stock of anything)

As far as the juice is concerned,he sells Boge Dekang.Anybody have experience with this product.I have seen it elsewhere,so thought I would ask y'all.

Some members here like the Boge/dekang. We have such a large assortment to choose from that if you ask 10 different people you will get 10 different answers. They have been around for awhile and I have heard that their juice has been much improved. Wouldn't hurt to give it a try as it may take a little time to find the one that is right for you. I like Boge/Deakng but other say it's perfumy, medicinal or chemical tasting. To me it is strong flavored, but i like that. RY4, Tobacco, 555 and coffee are my persoanl favorites but I use others and, buy exclisively Dekang. Really it's all a matter of what appeals to you so, get a few samples with various PG/VG ratios or all one or the other and get bothe Dekang and non Dekang, see what about each you like or dislike, then find something close to fitting as many of the likes as possible.
