I'm not a total noob, I have been reading these forums for days, did my research like a good google fanboy, and it seems there is a neverending hole of knowledge and variety here, so I'm looking for some recommendations from experienced vapers (no pun intended). I know a lot of models, and what I want, but can't piece the puzzle together. I'm a 15/day analog guy now, figure that may go to 20 with the ecig. Here is what the model has to have:

1. Would like it to be around (120mm max, ~100 preferable so supermini to mini size, not micro or pen) the size of an analog or slightly larger with a ROUND tip, I hate flat tips. Remind me of tipped cigars.

2. I like throat hits, has to be above average on vapor density, so a relatively good battery/atomizer is a must. Cartridge size doesn't matter a ton, I will keep a lot of extras around.

3. I will be refilling empty cartridges and buying e-liquid for the model, don't think that impacts the choice much though.

4. I like the cases that you can put the ecig and an extra battery in and charge the extra, so this is a must. Not sure what they're called, or what models have them available.

5. Will probably never use a passthrough, so not important. Although, the USB wall charger would be nice as an alternative so its not tethered strictly to a computer. I work at a desk where they would frown on this, so I will probably have to go outside anyway.

6. If battery is auto, has to be pneumatic (not noise sensitive). I'll probably have it in my pocket quite a bit. Don't know exactly the details of how the manual ones work, may want one eventually, but not important for the start. Do they only work while the manual button is down?

7. All black, or all white body (minus the LED). Aesthetics are important to me. I don't need a brown cartridge and white tube. I'm not buying analogs.

8. I'm aware that earlier models have a lot of atomizer/battery problems, maybe a newer gen model would be better?

From looking around, I see the Yeti, the 510, the 901 (may not be strong enough from what I hear and the flat tip thing....) and the Great White from ecigarettesales.com looks REALLY good also, any experience with this one? These are initial thoughts, don't really know what all the other similar models entail, such as the ones listed below, and I would like the parts to be somewhat common, since I know I will use the heck out of this thing. I may even buy two starter kits when I buy it along with extra atomizers/batteries/empty cartridges.

DSE-101
DSE-102
DSE-103
DSE-107
Janty Dura
Joye 510
Yeti
Great White
KR-308
M401
M402
njoy Pro
RN-4081
DSE-901
Janty Kissbox Yentl
Joye 303
KR-208
RN-4075

Can I get some opinions based off experience, or what I listed that I am looking for in an ecig? Also, maybe some recommended suppliers with your recommendation. I have seen a lot of suppliers, but they seem to only each support a couple models. I haven't seen a completely comprehensive store yet. Maybe even some posts taking models OFF my list based on what I want would help narrow it down. Thanks for the advice.

wow....it does sound like you've been doing your homework. nice job on the research and on telling us what's important to you. I can tell you that everything you just stated is screaming Joye-510 which is also called the Dura, Yeti, Titan, and gawd knows what else. The PCC is definitely a necessary addition to this model due to it's short battery life....but it will give you everything you just asked for. This is the easiest suggestion I've given in a long time! :D

Forgot to give you some suggested suppliers:
Chris at MyFreedomSmoke rocks on his service, and his e-liquids are excellent! http://www.myfreedomsmoke.com/wholesale.html (when you click his "wholesale" link and get prompted for a password, type "smoke" (without the quotes) and you will get his best price.

Widows Beadwork is another top-notch supplier: http://www.widowsbeadwork.com/Ecig.html

Thanks, TnA. Its tough just starting, because there's so much spam out there you can't always read between the lines!

Am I correct in my assumption that you have to hold down the manual battery while you vape and let go when your done inhaling? Why is this such an advantage over the pneumatic auto battery?

I understand the cons to the electronic auto since it can turn on in your pocket and from things other than dragging, but I haven't read a lot of cons to the pneumatic auto.

It sounds like the 510 is the one that would fit right for you. I thought I would like the auto battery better, because who wants to have to hold a button while you take a drag, but I found I actually like the manual better. There are a lot of kits out there that come with one of each, and I'd go with one of those so you can try both and figure out which suits you better.

yes sir, you are correct with your assumption. However, there are auto batteries available for the 510, if that is your preference. The advantage would be in reliability. On automatic batteries, wear and tear, dirt, and/or juice leaking down into the battery can cause the automatic switch to stop working like new. This can cause inconsistent hits and speaking for my 901, make you suck harder to make sure your switch turns on and stays on while you are drawing on it.

Hi n8ure:

Welcome to ECF. Great research. As others have said the Dura-C, Titan, 510, Yeti and Versus are what you are looking for. Though the Dura-C is the only one I know of that has no LED. The round tips can be purchased from several suppliers. You can order a PCC, (case charger.)

The big minus to the auto batteries is the cutoff. The manual does not have a cutoff, thus you press the button one second before, and release 1 second before ending your draw. Thus the big plus is you can take as large(or small) as you want draws. The mannual gives you more controll for bigger vapor and throat hits if you choose, the auto does not.

I see that the 2 suppliers I order the Dura-C and round carts from, do not have any in stock at the moment. (Janty, Dietsmokes) You may want to message them on their sites to see when they will have more.

Let us know what you decide or if you have more questions.

Best of luck to you.
