Lol, hopefully not. So my freebie from Dawn at ecigsmokestore was a bottle of "48mg unflavoered" Pretty big bottle, Im thinking a 10ml bottle. Anyways, she said "DO NOT vape ALONE!!!!" For real, exact words. Now, Im not the brightest and counting money is about as far as I got in math class. What exactly do I need to do with this to vape it? I think it already has some VG in it. And I like to vape at least 40mg. I have spare 6ml bottles running around empty. Please help me. In other words
"Jerri, you (enter choice word here), Just (pour half) into said 6ml bottle and drop (6) drops of flavor."
Idk, im lost and I hate this feeling and I hate staring at juice instead of vaping it. Please help me! S.O.S Blond calling!!!

The exact ml needs to be known. If you like 40mg (which I do not recommend) You need to use 8.3ml of the 48mg to 1.7ml of VG or PG. This will give you 10ml of 40mg juice. If you want to flavor it (I recommend 5% flavoring) Then it would be 8.3ml 48mg + 1.2VG or PG + 20 drops of flavoring (drops are based of what you are using like a pipet or eye dropper, always measure you drops since they vary based on 1ml).

You can download my ejuice calculator (link in my signature) and calculate it for your self.

Hope this helps.

Yes, 40mg is very high. Ive tried it at that strength but honestly you can probably vate at 24 or 36 and wont notice much difference and still get the fix you need and save on juice too. I sometimes take the 48mg juice and cut in half with pg and get 24mg. Add any flavor after that or before. Its easy to calculate..lol

I agree with doots 24mg is the typical ejuice "High" mg % I would not go much beyond that. I am happy at 12mg (I can vape 24/7) Happy as a clam :)

Im not gonna OD guys, we smoke 40mg constantly. When I smoke too many cigs I know when to put em out cause I get a headache and sick. I know my limits and we are fine. $0mg keeps us off the cigs...So no bashing please...Like Ive said before , Just cause you can only handle beer doesnt mean I cant drink my tequila

No bashing, just concern for ya, You know your body best and if that is what it takes to keep you from smoking then have at it. I am just trying to help you with the calculations on your mix.

If you do add flavoring after the fact it will lower the mg% in you ejuice. so always factor flavoring in during the mixing process.

Hope this helps

If you normally vape 40mg and you are not mixing your own, where are you buying it?

Most sellers only have premixed flavors up to 24 or sometimes 36.

Don't go by the amount in cigarettes, it can't be compared that way.

Anyway, if you want it to be about 40mg, take your 48mg (whatever amount it is) and add 1/5 of that amount of 0mg either using VG or PG or flavoring - just use the same size bottle and fill it 1/5 full of whatever you want to use. Mix the two together and it will be 40mg now. I would feel free to go a little over on the additions, rather than under - I would probably use 1/4 rather than 1/5 to be safe.

This will work with any amount even if you are not sure if it is 10ml or 15ml, just use the same bottle or the same size bottle to measure out the other ingredients.

Best,
Valerie

Anyone, feel free to correct me if I am wrong. I do my math this way when I mix my flavors sometimes, and it sounds like the simple answer she was looking for. (also, if you are used to 40, and you used 48, you would not die. You might get dizzy or sick, but if you have that kind of nic everyday, it won't kill you.)

Doing it your way would produce varied mg% and not constant if not measured. If measured and you use it in portions as indicated you would come up with.

1/4 measurment 48 + 48 + 48 + 0 / 4 = 36mg
1/5 measurment 48 + 48 + 48 + 48 + 0 / 5 = 38.4mg

To accuratly get 40mg every time it should be

How much 48mg nic juice to use:
(target quantity) / ((Base Nic % 48mg) / (target nic % 40) ) or
10ml/(48/40) = 8.3ml of 48mg ejuice

How much VG/PG to use:
10ml - (8.3ml 48mg) = 1.7ml VG/PG

Now you also have to figure in how much flavoring to use before mixing as that will lower the mg% if you add it after the fact.

So if you use 5% flavoring or .5ml then it would be

8.3ml 48mg + 1.2ml VG/PG + .5ml Flavoring = 10ml flavored 40mg ejuice.

Of course it is easier using my calculator, but hey I like to stay up on my math skills :)

Your close but it is not 40mg, and if you dont measure it will be off everytime.

Thank you for the exact answer. I think that 35-38 would be good and I am including the flavor with the 0mg VG/PG so that would be the final result.

I was looking for an answer as simple as it sounded like she wanted.

BTW - that calculator is hard to use. I try to use it all the time and it seems like I don't think the way it does. But then I flunked accounting 3 times. My dad taught me the math of approximation.

LOL I never took accounting, but do alot of programming and have to work with excel alot. Section one and section 2 are the most used sections of the calculatior. Try version seven, link is in my sig. Just enter the starting nic mg%, the target nic% and the % of flavoring and it tells you the porportions in section 2. Ignore everything else, just addons people have requested.
BTW if you are using excel to open it, I did put comments on all the white cells, so just hover over them with your mouse and it will tell you what that cell is for.
