hahahahaha.

You know what I caught on TV the other day? "Ma and Pa Kettle" Do you remember that show? OMG -- hysterical. I am OLD.

i don't remember them all but i'm certain i've seen every single one of their movies. lots of similarities to how i grew up.

Old? yup... i officially signed up for social security today. first deposit arrives in about a month.

more Woodvils...more Woodvils...more Woodvils...more Woodvils...more Woodvils... :)

Please don't tell me you take advantage of Early Bird Specials.

LOL, yes i did...

i wouldn't bore everyone with all the details, but i'm pretty good at calculating odds. (i actually once supported myself for a few years solely betting on horses :)

The Early Bird Special (early retirement) was an excellent bet...

my bad if you weren't actually talking about early retirement. most of my friends refer to it as the EBS...

Just got my first check on Wednesday. It was ...strange but welcomed.
We lived in a small town and on Saturdays we could go to the little theater and see Ma and Pa Kettle movies for nickel or a dime. And I heard that the big kids would sit in the balcony and kiss and do yucky stuff that was a mystery to me. Ha, its still a mystery to me.

LOL. I grew up in Silicon Valley, back before they either invented or discovered silicon, or before they figured out what the heck to do with the stuff. It was all mostly fruit orchards back then. At first our nickel, in addition to Ma & Pa, brought us every single cowboy movie under the sun at the Double Feature Matinee. A few years later, the matinee largely featured sci-fi. My favorite (now) was "The Tingler" because i was one of the "lucky" ones who got one of the specially rigged seats. I think that was the first time i publicly humiliated myself, but over the years it's become so common i don't much think about it :)

I second wanting a VV woodvil. How much did they go for new? I wanna start saving my pennies for when they come back on the market. Lol

I feel for anyone wanting one can appreciate it. I wish I could help and pass along the recent stabilized VVW I got in the classys but sweet Alice would hunt me down and torture me...crazy Texan.

REO VV Woodvil's sold new for $205-$220 different woods for different prices. Remember this was first and only run. Prices may vary on subsequent production sales.

That must be xXSPOONEEXx. She has a add in the "WANTED" section looking for a wood VV. I told her that I'd would consider a WoodChuck that she could kick to a VV and the Tesla would never go for any amount of money. ;)
