Sara, you used your normal (long-time) member ID to post that ^^^^^^^.

Classy, I'm having the very same problem ... locked out of my old account and no password reset is being sent.

This account is a throw-away so I could at least find out what's going on with my old one?

You haven't been the only person, by a LONG shot... who's had trouble getting an email to reset their pasword on their existing longtime account. Quite a few of us did, too. So you using Windows 7 probably doesn't have anything to do with it.

Classwife will get you straightened out though.

Correct, just tried ... same results.

So what's the story, why are all of these vet accounts being locked out?

Once your old account gets straightened out, and you can set up a new password....you'll be back to normal with everything you could do on ECF before. Classwife will wipe out the new account you created, and it'll be fine. That's what she had to do to mine, and my original account has been working fine as of then.

In a nutshell....the members were to reset their passwords to new ones, as a way to help increase the security of the ECF website. Problem was that an email from ECF, containing a link to go reset our password...wasn't getting through to quite a few of us.
