I'ts been one week since I bought my first e-cig, using the T-Rex. I had my last analog a week ago and I don't miss them one bit! That says a lot since I've been smoking for 40+ years. I never thought that the transition would be so easy.

I, unfortunately did do this years ago when there wasn't so much information as what we have now. I got a really crummy set up that didn't work well so I gave up. I got a good system over 2 months ago and I haven't looked back!

Hi guys. I want to make the jump but I would have to sell my insane 10/22. I have a cheap 510 knock off its really bad and the juice is stale at the loc smoke shop. Is it cheaper really at all? Seems like I just burn through theese cheap kits then go smoke in anger.

Once you get the good e-cig equipment recommended on the forum for your preferences and find the e-juice you like it is definitely cheaper and healthy.

initial investment is more, but once you find a system you like, then its just juice + misc

2x ego twist = $50-60
box of boge cartomizer = $6
clearomiser/vivi nova = $6-$15
juice
charger for battery = $5

that pretty much covers it all, give you a fair chance to try out the 2 main juice delivery system.

and im not just talking about your chemotherapy bills down the line
i mean itll be cheaper than smoking in a few months

how fast itll be cheaper i guess depends on how much and what you smoke
my cigarettes are 5.50 a pack and i was at a little more than a pack a day so say i spent 175 a month on cigarettes

so say ive spent couple hundred all told on my ecig stuff so far
if i stay off the cigs for even just a month or two ive broke even

course im still working on the stay off the cig thing
ill get there

Years ago things weren't so good. I tried it 3 years ago, went back to smoking and came back about 3.5 months ago. At least for me about 8 months ago would've been when I should've tried it. That's when what works for me came out.

About 30 days ago I was almost even. I bought a spare kit and some parts. About a week ago I was closing in on being even again and I bought some 0mg liquids to start working on getting down to 0mg. In 30 more days I'll be even again. I have plenty of parts and juice to make it that long.

I may need more parts by then but I'm at least able to stay even.

Note that I do not go for the cheapest e-cigs and I go for one of the more expensive liquid companies.
Had I skipped the spare kit and 0mg liquids just going for the attys, today I would be about $225 ahead and I'd have a month's worth of liquid easy.

That's my experience. Whether it's cheaper for you depends on what you smoked and what you vape. If you were RYO you'd be hard pressed to make it pay no matter how cheap you vape. If you smoked name brand it would pay off quickly.

I've only been vaping for about 6 weeks or so myself, and I too was amazed at what an easy transition it was.
I'm having a great time trying lots of tasty juices on my new Apollo Vtube, and I'm also still using my trusty V2cigs kit. Apparently, this whole thing just gets better and better!

Congrats Reebo22. I've been vaping almost 3 months without any trouble - until yesterday. I was SO stressed at work I SERIOUSLY thought about bumming a smoke from a co-worker. Instead I took my SI Volt, walked down 5 flights of stairs and sat outside vaping and playing Words with Friends for 10 minutes. All good and no analog!

People that are just starting now have it good compared to those of us that started this years ago. You didn't have many choices back then and it seemed like you had to fiddle with everything to get to work "just ok". It was frustrating as hell. It's been about 2.5 years now since I bought my first e-cig.

I first tried vaping 2 years ago, back then I bought a cheap setup that was a cigarette lookalike, it produced a little vapour, not throat hit, and I promptly went back to analogs. A month ago I got back into vaping, this time I learnt my lesson and went for a Ego-T pack with Startdusts and haven't looked back.

Ultimately I want to get off the vaping as well, but for now I don't mind as at least I'm off the analogs and it has been completely natural and stress free with the help of ecigs.
