I have been looking for replacement parts for my Ego C and I stumbled across a few things that mentioned fake Ego products. I went into this pretty blind and after being recommended to to purchase an Ego C as my first starter kit I quickly began searching the internet to find the best deal.

I ended up buying this one. Ego-C Starter Kit in Gift Box

However, after researching things a little more it has come to my attention that nowhere on the ecig, the box or the instruction manual does it say anything about joytech. This makes me convinced that this is a fake knock off. Can anyone confirm this?

It's working good. I had a problem with a faulty part which was replaced ( makes sense why it was faulty if it's fake ) other than that it's vaping fine. I have had it for about 3-4 weeks now.

My only concern is that the atomizer could be made from a different low quality metal which may be doing me harm. I might start to replace the parts with official joytech parts.

Has anyone got any experience with fakes? I can't really blame the website as it never claimed these to be official. I should of researched a little better.

It doesn't appear to be a Joyetech eGo kit, but that doesn't necessarily mean it won't work. :)

My personal recommendation would be to buy Joye atomizers when it comes time for you to replace them. In my experience, they hold up better and last longer than non-Joye brands. The non-Joye ones I've used worked fine, just not as long.

For the rest of the kit (batteries, cone, etc.) you should be fine. I have several Joyes and "knock-off"s of these and they both work just as well, IMO.

Site isn't listed as a distro on Joye's website, but also not listed under knockoffs
So could be either, tho the price seems a bit low for genuine Joye stuff
For the most part I wouldn't worry about it, looks like a decent price and it's kinda hard to screw up when it comes to cloning e-cigs

That doesn't mean diddly, it is a KO.

Don't panic over Real or a copy. If built decent you should get your moneys worth out of it. I have purchased a dozen kits, none were Joye originals and after 6 months all are still working. I try to help new vapors start out without breaking the wallet. If something did fail the impact would not be as stressful.

Looks a bit cheap to be the genuine item. As long as they don't claim it's the genuine item and try to charge the genuine price... Check on the bottom of the battery for the logo.

I bought a knockoff kit once, but I found that they were a bit lower voltage than my other ego batteries. It doesn't bother me much because its a small battery that I can also take anywhere because it'll last all day.

Hi,, don't be upset.. look at it in a positive way. Joy's are 3.3 volts... the knock offs are usually 3.7 volts.... :) yes, it's not a "authentic" joy. But, imo the company wasn't trying to dupe you.. It's marked as ego. I have an ego...this same type and I was glad for the 3.7 and its a perfect first p.v. and then when you move ahead, a great back up.. It will work fine, and as long as it's a good company that you purchased it from, you will be good to go.. I agree in getting a better atomizer,, or maybe a clearomizer, vivi nova,, carto's choose a way to contain your liquid, fill it up and enjoy!! I wish you the best of luck, and have fun on your journey to find that all day vape flavor! Vape away friends! :)

That argument is a moot point since Joye produces 3.3V under load while the rest (off the battery) are unloaded almost the same loaded. FWIW vape satisfaction throughout the battery cycle using PWM trumps a straight battery :)
