Got my first CHUCK a couple of days ago, exactly 2 weeks after ordering (thanks Jeff!!). As soon it arrived, I ripped open the box and screwed on a 510 atty (off my eGo), dripped a bunch of juice, put it to my mouth and hit the button. Nothing but a tiny puff. WTF!?! Then nothing at all. Tried a fresh atty a minute later and same thing... I screwed them back onto the eGo and sure enough, they were dead.

After checking out some related threads, it dawned on me that I should be using High Voltage Atomizers. I ordered a couple from NHaler an hour later, hoping this would do the trick. Can anyone corroborate this? Also, since this is my first time with a six volt device, how long can I expect an atomizer to last?

Thanks for reading,
-Bruce-

P.S.
I'm running my Big CHUCK on 2, 3 Volt AW LiFeP04's

I use regular 510 cartos, one will last me several weeks. Can't help you on the atty thing, I can't stand primer or that hit you get just before it fries out or having to toss 10 bucks into the trash. I vape strictly 6 volts these days, never burn out a carto. Though I outta change them out more often. Put a fresh one in today and I had to get use to what my juice is suppose to taste like!

Seriously though, spend 8 bucks at COV and get a pack of five blank ones. Key is to over fill them the first time and let them sit for a half hour or so. After that, I just top off when I taste that first dry hit.

Congrats on the chuck. Hopefully a die hard atty user can give you some HV tips.

Hi Amy, thanks for responding. I've read many good things about cartos, but until now, I was unsure of which ones to get and which vendor to choose. A quick check on COV tells me that they are a reliable, well liked American company. Good enough for me, I'm placing my order as I write this. I've got three mutts myself, sometimes I feel like I need a padded cell...

Now you need to get yourself some Halo....
TV baked goods aren't bad at 6V either though I've kinda lost my taste for them recently. Been just vaping one halo flavor for the last several months. I think I got tired of musical cartos honestly.
A chuck and a carto and a good high nic juice.....never wish for another cig again. You might pick one up but I guarantee, it will not only taste bad, but you won't feel the drag you take off of it at all! LOL! (which I kinda find disturbing and wonder if I should work on getting myself back down to 3.7V vaping-six volts is a hard gig to quit once you start on it)

I'm salivating at the thought. I used to think that I'd miss that tobacco taste, but not anymore. I've tried a bunch of different flavors from a couple of vendors, but never from Halo. My go-to, all day vapes are Cafe Mocha and Waffles from TV. I don't like them too sweet or too fruity. I have an ounce of Apple Pie, but I'm not crazy about it. I'm waiting to try it in my CHUCK before trading it. Are Halo juices made with 6V in mind? Which one have you been vaping on lately?

I vape Torque, use to vape alot of flavored stuff but I kinda just fell into the one flavor. Menthol ice is really good on a damp cold sinus congested day though, that is my headcold, feel like crap vape.

Take your apple pie and mix it with some TV butterrum...then it is good stuff, on its own, not so much. BNB at six volts from TV is pretty good too. I am pondering the waffle thing, thinking plain would be the way to go though.

You might like some of Nhalers high voltage juice.

At one time I had a huge variety, but after cutting down to just one type of liquid, my budget runs me under 20 bucks a month to vape nonstop.

MMmmm... Butterrum!! Never tried that one, but it sounds good. I'll give that combo a try. As for Waffles, I use the plain one and I'm just loving it. As with all the TV juices I've tried, I find that letting it sit for a week or so really brings out the flavor. That's where I'm at too, 20 bucks a month. I actually quit 10 years ago and recently started vaping. I love nicotine and the whole act itself. I put on 20 lbs when I quit and I've since whittled it off. What strength is your Torque? I generally go for 24mg. Have a Happy Turkey Day!!

Seriously???? I use theregular 510 blank cartos too....from COV as well.....and I have burned out quite a few in the first 3 or 4 hits.....as matter of fact, ive recently had 2 boxes that I only got use out of 4 of the cartos. Thats a 60% fail rate, most boxes are fine and I get 4 or 5 days out of each carto. I agree, though...anything much longer than that starts to burn you throat with each hit, and tastes like ash!!

I got a box with a couple duds, I don't know who it came from and it seems to be a one time deal so I didn't loose sleep over it.

The trick is to not start with a brand new carto and a fresh set of charged batteries. Start the carto on a set of batteries that have dropped off a fuzz. Break it in for the rest of the day then switch out batteries. I switch mine out every morning. I kid with a pacifier is how I vape if I am not at work. Sad. I think I vape way more than I ever smoked.

To answer the other question, yeah 24mg and 18mg..I usually flip back and forth. Right now I am sticking with the 18.

Are you sure you're filling them up properly? The main thing with cartos is to remember to overfill them the first time you use them. You must make sure all of that juice seeps down through the poly fill or else the first time you fire it up you'll ruin it. Once a burnt carto, always a burnt carto. I found that the most effective way to fill them is to use a syringe and actually inject it in. They will hold around 2ml of juice on the first fill up.

I get about a ml into mine first time around, maybe a fuzz more. I fill it to the top, wait till it goes down, fill again till it drips out the bottom. Let is set upright. Twenty minutes latter add a bit more, blow out excess and I am good. The other thing is that I top off often and always, similar to the way a dripper would, like every six hit, I can do it in my sleep now and without flooding-took a little practice, use to overfill a lot. The metal tips from cov, the funky short ones, work well or just go the tail pipe method and don't bother with the dang little rubber stopper.

I've tried many different flavors but for my money I get the mint nobacco juice from Vapor 4 Life at 12.50 for 30ml. Also you get 10% of if you use the code SMILIN. I usually order 3 at a time.

Thanks for the tip. I just got my first sample of Halo's Torque 56 and I'm really digging it. It has a slightly minty aftertaste that is most intriguing. I never smoked menthol before, but I will look into it further as an eliquid.

I never detected a menthol taste in the torque, now if you want menthol, menthol ice is great. It's my headcold vape. If I have a sinus headache or cold, I vape the menthol ice...usually I combine it with a drop or two of TV's atomic cinnacide. Good stuff but not my everyday vape because it makes my beer or coffee taste kinda funky. That's how I ended up with the torque, I couldn't do flavors etc and enjoy my beer at the end of the day....it just didn't work and I always had to smoke when I drank. Not that I drink anything close to what I probably need to drink! LOL! Especially today, might actually need that padded cell!

When I quit smoking, I also quit drinking. I'd torture myself for a week, then on Friday night everything would fall apart and come Monday morning I was back to square one. I never did like menthol, although I can see it being helpful if you have a cold, but what I'm getting is just the lightest hint on the finish. Also, I'm getting some Anise... very interesting combination. I'm down to the nitty gritty of my sample, can't wait till tomorrows mail!!
