I think I found part of my sweet spot--

I decided to try an experiment this week. To tell the story first, as I've been sitting here vaping, I noticed I kept going back to one certain juice because of it's sweet taste. My thought was maybe if I sweeten up some of the juices I have here, I might be able to vape more. Ordered a bottle of sweetener and had to let it sit for a few days to warm up (weather turned very cold here) and added some to a bottle of juice that I couldn't vape because of the bitter taste. I let that bottle sit overnight and started to vape it today. It tastes waaaayy better than when I first got it. I'm just wondering, is this the start of me going DIY?

The other thing I noticed is that with even sweetening them up, they seem to work better on the Ego PT I have rather than the 510 batts. How is that possible? Is there just that much more power to the Ego than the 510? Now if only I can order the tankomizer or the CE2s that I've seen talked about on the boards, I might be set for life and start really working on getting off analogs. BTW-- in the month that I've been vaping, I've gone from 2PAD to about 12 analogs a day, but would love to see that number go down to 0 a day.

I love finding the sweet spot! I, too, like sweeter flavors. Everything I tried just wasn't sweet enough. I ordered sweetener from perfume apprentice through DIY supplier, and that did the trick for me! You may be right on the DIY thing.....sweetening my juices was the beginning of DIY ejuice for me, and once I found the Lorann natural strawberry and added the sweetener, I was hooked! Plus, you can control the amount of nicotine in it. I mix stronger (15-20mg nic) for the stressful weeks, and 6-12mg for my all day vape. DIY is a lot of fun! Maybe once you play around with different nic levels you will be able to get off the analogs completely too. Good luck!!! Oh yeah, that tankomizer just looks awesome. I cannot wait to hear reviews on it.

Gotta love the "sweet spots" and DIY! You really should start DIY, Kythcat! It's a lot of fun and it's so cheap!
I'm hoping to in the next few months. Been looking over some "starter" kits, but thinking of ordering some extra nic juice with it. It's one of the things I'm planning on doing when the tax returns come in. Along with buying other e-cig things :)

There are two distinct types of sweetener, sucralose and EM (Ethyl Maltol). Sucralose is up front sweet, very sweet. If you put a drop of it on your hand and taste it, it will be very intense. I like my juices very sweet and use two drop per 3 ml. Unless you have an allergy to it, it's the easy and cheap to use. You can even get a free 6ml sample from EZ-sweetz.

Em is very different. I got a vial from diyflavorshack. If you put drop on your hand and tasted it, you wo' taste any sweetnes at all. In fact you may only taste the PGA (pure grain alcohol) it's dissolved in. You need to use a bit more to get any sweetness from it. I use 4-5 drops per 3ml. the sweetness is more subtle and has a slight cotton candy taste (most diy cotton candy flavorings is actually just plain EM in PG). I prefer it in tobacco juices since it's not so in your face sweet. I don't want my tobacco based juices tasting like candy. You can also buy the pure crystal and just dissolve in PGA or 151 rum.

Thanks for the tip. I've been having problems with my juices not being sweet enough.... I just ordered some 4ml flavors from the Perfumer's Apprentice: French Vanilla, French Vanilla Deluxe, Sweetener, Sweet Cream and Vanilla Custard

If I have a 15 ml bottle of of say, French Vanilla, I'm looking to sweeten up - to start - how many drops would I put in there? I've got one of those syringe needles too... I'm guessing that's what I'll need to get it in there. And then you have to shake it up and let it sit for a day or so?

Personally, I couldn't say. When I did the first one, I had a 3ml bottle that only had about 2ml in it (didn't measure it, so don't know) and I just added the sweetener until the bottle was full.

No one yell too loudly, I have a major sweet tooth, I use a lot of sugar in my tea and coffee. Everyone jokes about it and even ask me "want a little coffee with your sugar?"
