i remember i put my nemesis clone mod on the lock... when i left it in my jacket... 15 mins later... i went to put it back on and take it out.... my middle finger felt something hot then it was BURNING hot.... i think i got some serious skin burn, i dropped the mod on the ground immediately and went to wash my hands in cold water... it still stings now...

i am definitely throwing the battery out

a. is the mod useless now as well? should i throw it out?

b. my nautilus was on it too, it got discharged so much that the juice came out of the airflows and the whole mod is covered in juice, should i throw the nautilus out too?

was using a nemesis clone mod w/ nautilus for a daily vape

Hot does not necessarily mean it vented...your battery may still be usable, but use caution and check it carefully. Don't fire it, just check its voltage on a multimeter. May be salvageable, may not.

Your mod should be fine ...test it, clean it up, see if its autofiring with another battery, but yah. Mech mods are pretty tank-like.
The nautilus should be ok. You'll have to clean it up, change the coil, etc but unless you managed to melt something you're good.
Edit: make sure to check the o-rings on the nautilus tank and change if necessary. They MAY be melted.

Make sure the mod is not short circuiting somehow before putting it back into use.

You need not always throw out a battery after overheating but if it was truly so hot as to burn your finger or hand then it may have gotten hot enough to do the battery harm (as was my case, my battery got hot enough to burn my hand slightly and melt the wrapper of the battery just a bit, I tried to reuse it after adding a new wrapper to it with shrinkwrap material but it was getting substantially hotter when recharging so I stopped using it immediately) if you notice the battery getting hotter than the others you have when charging or not holding a charge property then it's probably best to just get rid of it and not take chance with it I suppose. No point to blowing off your nose to save $15.

My Stingray X has such a tiny throw to ignite it that there Have been times that I thought that I locked it but didn't really as there was just enough space for it to fire. Make sure your not experiencing the same thing.
