The gauges I use most frequently are 28 and 30, but I'm usually aiming for 1.1 to 1.4 ohms depending on the mod I'm using it on. If the jewelry tool doesn't have wire cutters then toenail clippers work great for cutting wire and the wicks. Good luck with all those toppers. You're gonna be having fun!

That's the ohm range I looking for, is that about 7 - 8 wraps? Or more?

Depends on what your wrapping around. Here is a cool spread sheet I found digging through some threads awhile back.

The ohms will vary slightly depending on how tight you wrap but it's pretty spot on.
